William Don and his daughter came out of the Landay Group; it was still early, but obviously, neither of them had the heart to return to the office to continue working.
So, William called the driver to drive the car directly back to Graceview Mansion, trying hard to persuade his daughter to have dinner at his place, fearing she'd do something irrational.
Elise Don was in a daze and didn't object, following William upstairs.
Madeline Hunter remained just as gentle and gracious as always, helping William change clothes and offering him slippers while not forgetting to show concern for Elise.
"So, how did it go today at the Landay Group? Did you settle the engagement with the Lee Family?"
William said not to mention it, successfully silencing Madeline.
She immediately guessed that they'd been given a hard time by the Lee Family.
