"Hey Jane how do you feel exactly?" Mike asked her and she tried to open her mouth to speak but she couldn't do that.
"It's fine, your vocal chord is probably still weak, you just woke up from a coma and most of your organs are still recovering so try not to stress it," Mike said and she blinked her eyes.
"She's doing great and the results just came in as I heard and fortunately there is no internal injuries of any sort," Mike said and they all jubilated.
"She's going to be sleeping a lot due to the sedatives that we gave to her but she will be fine in no time," Mike said and started to walk outside but then he stopped, he needed to address the issue and what he had seen he really should not have seen that.
"Uhmm Chris, about what you saw the other time, I didn't." he was starting to say.
"I don't care as long as you don't hurt her then we are good, and you are married Mike don't forget that," Chris said.
"I'm going to divorce her," he said to her and Chris looked at him.
"What!!" he exclaimed, okay he wasn't expecting that.
"I love Grace and I will do anything to be with her," Mike said he's not afraid to confess his love for her even though he might be getting a punch in return.
"Does she feel the same way?" he asked him, he should be asking his sister but he really couldn't wait.
"Yes, she does," Mike responded.
"If you hurt her or touch one single hair on her body, I'm going to kill you," Chris said.
"Hmm, so that means I have your blessing?" he asked him and he nodded.
"Yes, anything that makes her happy" he said and they both headed for the ward.
Chris heard his phone ring and he quickly rushed to pick it up, it was Jack calling him.
"What did you find?" he asked him.
"The news was first published by a media house before it went round and from what I have here, it was a deliberate action, I think someone sold them that piece of information on purpose." Jack explained all that he found.
"Alright got it, send the name of the media house to me, I think I need to pay them a little visit," he said and hung up. They would regret ever doing what they did. They almost cost him the life of a loved one, thank God that Mike has found her on time.
Charles was in his office sitting and enjoying the success of the news house, ever since he became the editor of this news outlet, they have not recorded a success as huge as this.
This is simply the best thing that has ever happened to all of them.
He was thinking of more stories to add to the one they already have concerning the whole marriage thing, they need to be able to bring in more revenue, it's necessary.
Suddenly he heard the door to his office open and Chris emerged.
"I want to believe that you are Charles, and you are the editor in chief to this media house?" Chris asked him and he nodded his head trying to recognize the face, who the hell is this? he thought to himself.
"Well you can as well start looking for something else to do 'cause I'm closing this place down," he said and the man got angry, just who the hell does this man think that he is?
"How dare you just badge into my office like that and threaten me?" he asked him, Chris pulled his sunglasses, the man didn't recognize him.
Charles recognized him in an instant and his face was already on the floor, what have they done that deserves such punishment?
"I'm deeply sorry Mr Smith, I didn't mean to say what I did," he said crawling on the floor and begging for his life.
"Where did you get those pictures and things that you said about me?" he asked, he's not willing to waste so much time on this topic, he wanted to get to the bottom of this and punish whoever did this.
"It's two of our reporters that brought the news to me yesterday and we got it published, we are sorry we will never do that again please forgive us Mr Smith," he begged.
"Get them for me now," he said and Charles quickly left the office to get the two girls that had brought him the news.
They followed Chris shaking and very scared, they had no idea what they had done wrong but for Mr Smith to be in their media outlet, they were in deep trouble.
"So you two brought the news to this place, from where exactly?" he asked.
"Uhmm we were just browsing the internet and we saw all those pictures and we decided to be the first to air it, that's why we brought it to the editor." one of them said.
"We didn't mean to cause any trouble. Please forgive us sir." she pleaded with him and he looked at them.
Chris kinda believes them, they seem to be telling the truth.
"Let me see the site," he said and they quickly brought out their phone where they saw it and handed it over to Chris.
He collected it and he could see that they were telling the truth.
"You should still expect your punishment," he said and stood up to leave.
"Jack I'm sending you something to your mail, work on it," he said and hung up, he needed to hurry and get the ring he was using to propose to Jane. He needs to get to the hospital before she wakes up.
