Chapter 32 - Blah Blah Blah here's a shield

Zeus falls to the ground his wound ceaselessly bleeding. Hestia rushes to heal him while the rest of them stand across from Odin. At the sight of Zeus being out matched to a degree none of them had seen before, there was no hesitation, no doubt that they needed to intervene. So, in an instant Odin and Zeus were separated.

Hades pov-

"You are stronger than we had anticipated Odin, so there will be no more games." I say pointing my halberd at him. I knew he might've been stronger than Zeus after all Odins domains were all about destruction but not to that level where he won in a single blow. So there would be no more duels, no more tests and no more honorable fights. He will lose, I will ensure it is so.

"But I haven't even had any fun yet!" With the flex of his legs, he blasted off faster than even I could react, but he wasn't going for me, but for Hera. In an instant he was above her golden spear raised high ready to pierce through her skull.

But there were ten of us, and one of him. The others closer to her weren't slow in action. The fastest was Hermes his speed even surpassing even my own delivered a quick and effective kick to his ribs, not enough strength to hurt but enough to send his spear off course.

Which in the next instant I took advantage of.

Moving behind Hera I yank her back by her shoulder and in the same motion swing my halberd at his neck. A trail of darkness from the power trailing behind it, yet he narrowly dodges it, his body seeming to react before his mind has it leers back, seamlessly transitioning into a spin forcing me to step back or be sliced open.

[Earth Spear] a jagged dangerous piece of earth erupts, and is launched toward him, tearing up the surrounding terrain.

[Fatigue] a flash of orange light burst from Heras hands Odins arms noticeably tiring.

[Mercurial Mirage] Illusions of Hermes dashing and attacking Odin spawn some of them real as he attacked like an angry wasp dealing little damage but annoying nonetheless.

[Hammer of Olympus] A massive bronze hammer glowing with magic bursts into existence above Odin rapidly descending.

[Spear of Inevitability] Ares launches an ethereal spear toward him it the magic ensuring it never misses.

[Moonveil Arrow] an invisible 5 foot arrow explodes from Artemis' bow, the wind tearing at the speed and power.

[Cruel Sun] A heat wave blasts all of them as a miniature sun is thrown from apollos finger. The surrounding plants withering.

(Writing 10 people fighting is hard guys)

All of these attacks were simultaneous, all at the same time hitting the same target, Odin. There would be no dodging this. My family was strong, but how could I not help.

[Oblivion Lash] With the swipe of my arm a whip of pure darkness surges from the ground lashing at Odin with my necrotic power imbued.

"You really meant it when you said no more games huh Hades?!" Odins yells his mind rapidly thinking seeing so many attacks approaching with imminent speed.

However; instead of fear or resignation the only thing showing on his face was pure, unaltered joy at the situation.

Then with the flourish of his unused hand he cast his spell.

[Algizvakt] And his body was basked in a golden light, a moment later when the spell hit their mark he took them in stride. When the dust cleared it was evident why. His body emanated a golden luminescent light. flexed and hunkered down like a rock, and in his formerly empty hand a shield now sat.

Circular and ornate, yet not physical. Its entire form seemingly made entirely out of runes, Asgardian enchantments.

Our eyes shot up at the scene. They weren't our strongest spells but were by far not weak either. There should've been no way for him to counter all of them at once, then again Asgardian runes were renown for a reason.

His hair fluttered in the wind, a little blood dribbling down his neck yet he stood firm, his body unwavering from the onslaught. In fact, he seemed renewed by it, invigorated by the thought of the attacks.

"What?... You thought that would do me in? It'll take much more than your puny magic to bring down Odin The God of War!" The fight resumed his body accelerating again this time even faster, spear in one hand magical shield in the other he dodged and weaved all the spells we threw at him, deflecting those he couldn't seeming to be absorbed into his shield.

"Get back." I say to my siblings planning to meet his charge head on. I could take it, I was sure the others couldn't. His body digging through the terrain like a combine, like a force of nature his body steaming from his power. Yet we were not flinching digging from our own wells of power, drawing on the faith of all those watching us we glowed and basked as well.

Hades in front of his siblings waited like a guardian, until they collided.

Halberd and Shield met with a blast. A shockwave of even greater proportion than that of Zeus'. The ground around them collapsing into a crater from the force.

The fight continued on, magic on magic, metal on metal, like a force of nature they destroyed the surrounding landscape, their power continuing to climb the more they continued to fight.

...

In the background chaos has erupted. At the sight of the Gods battling both armies began as well, neither with solid leadership. The Greeks however has plans, and Hades had made sure they would follow them, so while the Asgardian horde charged they waited, no stones thrown or javelin chucked. Until the traps started it activate.

Screams erupted from the first pitfalls, horses cried in agony from broken legs, their riders following promptly, Hera's hexes were activated on unsuspecting berserkers heading the charge their minds overtaken as they began to brawl and maim one another.

However; they had magic of their own, their sorcerers quickly quelling the vile enchantments and healing those that were alive, their charge continuing like a never ending tide. The first to engage were the Necromechs, their heavy plasma cannons vaporizing groups of soldiers like modern artillery fire, unescapable and deadly, the robotic hum if it charging sent shivers down the Greeks spines seeing the damage done.

Cara stood atop the hill looking at the scene apathetically. She didn't care about these mortals, or the Necromechs for that matter either. The only thing on her skull servo was what her lord wanted, and seeing the Necromechs perform pleased her, as they would please Hades.
