Emma Benson nodded, her gaze falling on the big bed, where Elijah Schmidt lay flat, sleeping deeply, without a hint of movement.
She suddenly wanted to laugh, thinking the father and son were quite similar; both were very calm and easy to handle when drunk.
"How much did the three men drink last night?..." She furrowed her brows, remembering Walter Schmidt's bloodshot eyes, feeling more worried than angry, "Was Lewis Holmes drunk?"
"Apparently not, the housekeeper said he was very clear-headed when he left…" Fiona Schmidt shook her head, sighing, "These men, you really can't let them be, a moment of inattention and they're out of control. I heard the three of them drank two cases of liquor!"
