The reason many survived was largely due to life-saving props, with only three players foreseeing the danger early and leaping into the air to avoid being sliced in half. The masked boy felt something amiss, but before he could react, a hand suddenly emerged from below, pulling him down. The elder's line sliced cleanly above his head, knocking off his mask.
The two concentric walls at the city center had already been destroyed by the players. The remaining outer zone players scattered, trying to blend into crowded areas. They had been tricked by Agor and trapped. The focus wasn't the barrier of the walls, but gathering them for the elder to take action. The outer wall barriers hadn't disappeared. Now, the best strategy was to involve the city's residents; Agor couldn't possibly round up and kill the entire city's populace.
