Hill couldn't help but move a bit, trying to find a better vantage point: the battlefield seemed close to the limit dealing with that golem, and those undead seemed intent on forcing the golem into the Zholar's ranks.
It seems they are aware that the golems here in Toril will self-destruct.
Hill hadn't seen what a Disease Stone Golem's self-destruction would look like... but he'd seen the iron type before when the undead occasionally appeared in the pirates' fights.
But the ones in the pirates' hands were even rusted... without inscribed waterproof spells, how could they inscribe more complex explosive arrays, so even if they explode it wouldn't be of any use... the shields raised by those attacking undead knights against the golems didn't even sway.
If it were Hill's own iron golems, they'd at least take a number of knights' lives and those magical-based professions behind them who didn't even attempt to dodge.
