Chapter 27 - The Summit

"Dyaaahh!"

"AAAHHH!" The Spirit of the Sacred Tree screams.

The magical vines wrapped around him tightens as he struggles to break free. It drags him down under into the center of the royal castle. To the chambers of the Sacred Tree

In the underground chambers, the vines throw him and pin him onto the walls of old Primisian Stone.

He breathes heavily and yells out, struggling to break free once more.

"It's futile to struggle," a dark voice whispers out

"SERIOUSLY?! I know I made harsh decisions, but I don't think-"

"You think!" The voice yells out, echoing throughout the chambers. The branches of the Sacred Tree shake with a breeze

"The decisions you made was nothing but stupid," the voice rasped

"Trying to destroy me? Great Spirit of the Sacred Tree? Impersonating me and the tenth King of Magicae? The voice questioned, angirly

"Whatever! It's been too long without them, he needed to wake up. What're you gonna do about it anyway? Huh, Supreme Primisi Chief?" The imposter snickers.

"After all, you can't kill me. I'M one of the seven," he says smugly

"POWERLESS!" The voice booms!

A ghostly figure with white drapes as clothing then appears Infront of the imposter. He has long horns and wings that of a giant crow. His skin, a pale grey, marked with black runes all over.

"You're one of the seven, but you're powerless. That power you've acquired over the months to help with that Prince is nothing compared to what you had. But with that being said," Spirit of the Sacred Tree lowers the imposter down and drops him to the ground. Vines still binding him.

"Riune... Your punishment will be decided by the King,"

In The Siurean Ocean

"The darkness in life is with light above sky, the sea past the forest is with day and night"

"The darkness in life is with light above sky, the sea past the forest is with day and night"

"The darkness in life is with light above sky, the sea past the forest is with day and night"

Grayson paddles the boat, heading back to the Astellian Isles in the Eozian Sea. He tries not worry about Hasan's glowing right eye and his riddle he's been repeating since he awoke again. All he wants is to make sure they make it back safe to Astellan. But again, Hasan goes,

"The darkness in life is with light above sky, the sea past the forest is with day and night"

"The darkness in life is with light above sky, the sea past the forest is with day and night"

"The darkness in life is with light above sky, the sea past the forest is with day and night"

 In Mediocris City, Magicae

On the morning of the tenth of Dark month (December), birds chirp all throughout the destroyed city. Cooled magma rocks stretches all across the city while soldiers and workers attempt to fix the damage so that the civilians can return.

The only building still completely intact is the castle, thanks to Jesse's spell.

In the castle, the council, and the parliament hold an emergency meeting regarding the Koroshi attack. However, with Eris, Deros and the Elementalist out, there are fewer attendees.

Jesse walks into the room, and immediately bows at the sight of King Henry.

"Jesse, what happened last night? Where is everyone? Eris?" Henry asks, worriedly.

"I.." Jesse blinks and gulps, "I-I don't know where to begin," he sputters.

Outside Kitsune woods, at the West Gate of the Great Baron Wall, a tall buff man riding a fox-raven approaches the gate.

Fairies then pop up from the top of the wall with arrows drawn.

They startle the man and he stops, his fox-raven whimpers.

"State your name and purpose!" One of the guards yell out at him.

"I'm Pinto, from Gigantios! I carry message from King Terraum to King Eris of Magicae," he yells excitedly in an accent.

The Giant Gates then begin to open, and two guards are on the other side waiting to escort the emissary.

They take the road straight to the castle.

The emissary looks around in awe. The destruction of the city is massive, not a single area in the giant city was unscathed by Armani's attacks.

"Got something to say?" One of the guards defensively asks Pinto.

He chuckles. "Yeah, they did this to us too. The Koroshi,"

"Oh, so that's why your king sent you? He wants the help of the world's most powerful kingdom I see," the guard says.

Pinto laughs. "Exactly!"

"Say, will you fly me to the castle? I'm already behind I have to get this to the King immediately," Pinto asks with a smile. Both of the guards wings appear and the carry Pinto to the castle by his shoulders.

At the council meeting in the castle

"What!?" Rhenen began, "I don't understand how Mallock was asleep through all of this!" He exclaims frustadedly. "Mallock had Devil Fruit Fever," Mable responds, "If I wasn't teleported I could've informed Eris in time but I as too late," she says looking down.

"Nothing could change that, Mable," Kinten speaks out, "What should worry about is our power. The Koroshi could have all the ingredients to break Sylvie's seal by now. We're gonna need a great force of defense and power if we want to kill the Dragon King,"

Knock

Knock

Knock!

Pinto busts in through the balcony's door and quickly stands up and bows for everyone at the council table.

"Greetings, officials of Magicae," he stands

"Who the hell are you?" Delia blurts out.

"Pinto, messenger of King Terraum. King Eris must report to the Isle of Idhun for a Summit of the Ten Igetes," he states.

"Summit?!" Rhenen yells.

"There hasn't been one since... since the Great War," Kinten sputters.

"Yes, but my King believes that the Koroshi's attacks and existence should be addressed by all the Great Realms. Together," Pinto explains proudly.

The council and parliament members look at each other uneasy.

"Yes, I agree, Pinto." Jesse began, "It's just... King Eris isn't available right now. He is-"

"Here," a voice echoes in the council room.

"Right here" it echoes again and a breeze swirl around the room.

The council doors then open and Deros comes in.

Behind him, it's Eris.

"Pinto, isn't it?" Eris asks, ignoring all the looks from the people in the room. Wondering how he's recovered so fast. Pinto walks over and stands in front of Eris. He bows.

"Y-your majesty?" He says, as more of a nervous question.

"Stand, please. You say there's a summit, right? When?"

"Fifteen minutes after sun high," Pinto responds cheerfully.

"The hell is sun high?" Delia asks.

Rhenen shrugs and shakes his head.

"Midday. It's the Western term for Midday," Mable clarifies, "So that would mean you only have... fifteen minutes to get all the way to the Isle of Idhun from here.

"Ah, great," Eris responds with a smile

"Jesse, Deros, join me, will you?" Eris says walking towards the balcony doors. Jesse gives Eris a nervous side eye and Deros chuckles.

"Wait, Eris!" Henry stands. "Are you sure you're okay to go?" He asks. Eris turns around. "I feel quite amazing actually. I promise we'll be back before you know it," he smiles and assures.

Eris opens the balcony doors and step outside and view the city. He closes his eyes and inhales the fresh air, like a frog out of water.

"This... won't do,"

His eyes suddenly opens and pupils are blue and the form of a lighting bolt.

Deros and Jesse cover their faces and step back once the wind begins to dance violently around him.

A dozen of giant tornadoes appear all around the city. Wherever they pass through, the buildings, even the streets revert back to how it looked before the attack. None of the people in the city got caught in the tornadoes, Eris executed a quick and safe city recovery.

The tornadoes begin to disappear and then Eris's wings appear. They're different, more blue than before. And it looks as if the white in his wings faded to grey.

He holds his right hand out in front of him and a white portal appears.

"Come on!" He says to Deros and Jesse. They follow through, both astonished by Eris's overpowered abilities.

They fly through the portal and on the other side is a open sea with bright blue water.

"We'll have to fly to Idhun from here," Eris says,

Jesse squints his eyes and frowns.

"King Eris, what's up with you? You're acting different, suddenly have magic lighting, and now I can't enter your mind," Jesse exclaims.

Deros lightly glides closer to Jesse.

"Yeah! It's like you turned into a new person overnight," Deros added.

Eris smiles and slightly lowers his head. "We need to focus on the current task. However, I do owe you two an explanation. Let's save the talk for our flight back," Eris enunciated and began to fly west to the Idhun Isles. Deros and Jesse simply followed.

At Mikalae's Tower Bedroom, Royal Castle Poslanice

Mikalae opens his eyes, laying under the cover of his giant bed. His face glistens with the shine of the sun because of him sleeping towards the balcony's doors.

He yawns and rolls his body over to the left.

"Good morning," Jivan says looking down at Mikalae. He sits up with his back on the headboard, and a book in his hand.

"Morning. I thought your mom said she didn't want you spending the night here," Mikalae whispers, drowsily.

"What makes you think she knows that I'm here?" Jivan responds, cheesing. Mikalae chuckles, "She definitely does," he rolls back to the right, shifting his body.

"Are you... okay, Mikah?" Jivan asks, whispering with worry.

Mikalae exhales heavily, remembering the events of last night.

Flashes come back to him, angering him.

"Stop asking me that when you know the answer," he responds aggressively. Jivan nods and smacks his lips. "You're right, I'm sorry. Can you-" he stops himself and thinks for a moment. "I hate having arguments with you, Mikah. I'm not gonna force you to talk about it anymore. All that seem to do is to make it worse," Jivan confesses.

Mikalae sighs and pulls the cover closer to his face. "I'm sorry, you don't make things worse, I do. I just don't know how to talk about it," He apologizes. Jivan reaches over and places his hand on Mikalae's shoulder.

"Maybe we take this day off and spend it together? Then hopefully we'll be able to talk," Jivan suggests sweetly. Mikalae turns around.

"That sounds, good. But," Mikalae says glancing over at Jivan's lap. "My book. Why are you reading it?" He asks. Jivan chuckles.

"Because it's amazing! I've already checked with my dad to see if anything like this were in the royal archives and no! This book is legit. I believe that we've gotten the Deusrian Gods all wrong," Jivan elaborates excitingly. Mikalae sits up, chuckling.

"You've read the entire book haven't you?" Mikalae asks, smiling.

"Twice, almost three times but that's not the point!" Jivan exclaims. "In this Book of Akimus, the back story of the Deusrian Gods is vaguely explained. Actually, in the book it calls them the Unruly Seven Embodiments,"

Mikalae blinks sharply and grunts, lightly shaking his head. "Unruly Seven..? I think I read that," he mutters.

"Yeah, and the most interesting part is that they were only called that because they were outcasted by other Deusrian Gods! Or..." Jivan puts his hand on his chin, "maybe they were never Deusrian gods to begin with. The book speaks of them like they were more than gods. Like they were beings we would never completely understand,"

In the Eozian Sea

Eris, Jesse and Deros soar through the sky, passing a chain of small islands. Eris stops suddenly once they approach an island with a giant blue statue towering the island from a small mountain.

An old woman with brown skin slips through the bushes at the cliff of the island. She has blue tattoos covering her body and spiral necklace laid on her neck.

"Can you hear me, King Eris? You're the last Igete to arrive," She whispers. With Eris's enhanced hearing, he heard her words and so did Jesse and Deros.

The woman turns around and walks through the bushes towards the jungle, Eris, Jesse and Deros follows her.

"The darkness in life is with light above sky, the sea past the forest is with day and night"

"The darkness in life is with light above sky, the sea past the forest is with day and night"

"The darkness in life is with light above sky, the sea past the forest is with day and night"

"The darkness in life is-" Hasan stops abruptly and inhales.

"Hasan?" Grayson asks, still paddling the boat. "We're almost in the Eozian Sea, I'll find you help as soon as we get to Astellan," He assures, focused on paddling.

"Day and night was never gone, and the breeze of sky returned. Grayson, soon you shall learn.." Hasan intones before closing his eyes.

Grayson frowned his face in confusion and continued on his task.

On the Isle of Idhun

Eris, Jesse and Deros are escorted to a giant Igloo, made of Cerulean stone with blue vines hanging down, covering the doorway. The woman stops at the entrance and turns around.

"When you enter, go straight through and you'll enter the council room. Your escorts shall enter the door first to the right. They must watch above with the other escorts," The woman explains, she slowly reaches out and lifts the vines, revealing what's inside. Eris, Jesse and Deros all walk in. Ready for the summit.

Eris walks straight down and approaches a giant white wooden door. He pulls it open and there, a tall dark brown skined man stood. He had blonde curly hair and white paint on his face, shirtless with a grass skirt.

The man bows. "You must be King Eris, of Magicae," he says before standing back up straight. "I am Chieftain Lagi of the Idhunian People. Please, enter and sit, we can now begin,"

Lagi steps aside with his right arm out open wide and Eris walks in. There every Ruler of the Great Realms gathered at a long rectangular table. Lagi took an open seat at the end of the table, across from King Terraum.

Eris sits in an open chair between Queen Sylvie and Queen Corlun of Esperia. Corlun in is in her small, sprite form, floating high enough to be seen be the others, yet not being able to sit down in her chair.

"Before we begin, I want to say that all of you have been invited here to have a civilized conversation on the well being of this planet," Lagi announces, "If anyone wants to fight, or has any sort of altercation, you'll be brought down with the full forces of Idhun and the other rulers here," he states firmly, and then nods at King Terraum.

Terraum scoffs, proudly. "Igetes of the Great Realms, I have called you all here at once to address the threat that every kingdom has heard of by now. The Koroshi," he says that name with content.

"The Koroshi is an organization that calls themselves a dark guild! They might not have many numbers, but their power is enough to conquer several realms in Pervolsima. Recently, they attacked my city in search for my son's blood and I was informed that Yuki Haido, the Koroshi's leader intend to declare war as some sort of a welcome home gift to the Dragon King if they free him," he scoffs, holding back his attidude.

"I think you mean when," Queen Xotiko speaks out. Terraum frowns. "Elf queen... I was told your kingdom was on it's way to getting attacked to. Don't tell me it already happened," Terraum says worried

"Not just her realm," Eris speaks out, "mines too. They attacked the capital last night," Eris reveals. The rulers gasps in shock.

"Well did they get it?" Corlun asks, still floating. "The blood of a Non-heir Mediocris?" She asks. Eris exhales slowly, and nods.

SLAM

Terraum slams his fist on the table. "Damn it! They're closer to freeing the Dragon King," Terraum exclaims.

"Is this Dragon King truly that fearing?" King Jado of the Dwarves of Pumilio asks.

"The Northern Realms never heard the stories?" Eris responds with a question. "The Dragon King is a being with the power of a god. The Great War lasted two hundred year because of him! He slaughtered thousands. Let's not forget that there was only about five people who could even stand a chance against him, Slyvie included. If we want this world to be safe from the Koroshi and Arcadius, I think the Great Realms should join forces," Eris concludes his rant.

"Hmm," King Pon of the trolls rubbed his beard in wonder.

"Oh!" Queen Chedara of Leprenovi startles with a smile.

"What?!" King Vinma exclaims.

"My realm will never work with those Easterners. Especially the Land of Astellan. I would never align myself with someone as coveted as her!"

"Well, you have no choice!" Terraum yells. "Either you and your goblins join us, or Cobalorum becomes another conquered Kingdom of the Koroshi," Terraum gives him an ultimatum.

"I didn't have all of us leave our realms unprotected to go back with no allies, no plan on what's next! It is time the Great Realms form an Allied Force to eliminate the Koroshi and the Dragon King in this upcoming war. Another Great War, but not like the first, one that last far less than two hundred years. This one will be the one where the Dragon King is finally destroyed," Terraum concludes.

Vinma slowly nods. "Fine... but after this war Queen Slyvie," he says and Slyvie's attention moves over to Vinma. "I want you to finally accept my trade offer," he says.

Slyvie chuckles with slight irritation. "I believe you're angry because the trade between Gigantios and Astellan is amazingly structured, but the trade between Astellan and Cobalorum... well I never gave it a chance..." she confesses, "Until now. If it makes you happy and helps you join us in this then yes. I agree to this deal,"

"The Leprechauns will help too," Queen Chedara, says, "My army isn't much, but they're tough,"

"I will have every Dwarf shove a pickaxe up that Dragon King's arse! Count Pumilio in," King Jado says with spunk.

"Fighters are rare in Esperia, but you can count on the healing powers of my Sprites and I to help us," Corlun says in a soothing tone.

"The Koroshi will pay for stealing my daughter's heart. Elvendor is in," Queen Xotiko says.

"Pervolsima is already being conquered, Corachod will help fight too or it'll be our end," Queen Dynes of the gnomes says.

"You'll... have the... trolls as... welll," King Pon of Troladan speaks slowly.

Everyone then looks at Eris since he is the last one to agree to creating a joint force.

"I-"

"Before you answer," Terraum interrupts, "Sylvie told me about your... strategic capability. Not only do we want your kingdom's power, but we also want your guidance and leadership. You'll be the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces," Terraum tells him.

Eris smiles proudly. "I am honored, really. And of course Magicae will help. Our armies are already preparing for war as we speak,"

"Excellent!" Terraum bellows. "Then tell us, Supreme Commander, what do you order us to do first?" Terraum asks and everyone looks at Eris.

He chuckles lightly, "We must return and prepare our realms for war. Then in three days, report to my castle for official battle planning and transferring intel," he states and stands. Readying to leave

"Wait!" King Vinma yells out.

"What's your power level. If you're to lead us, I need to know you aren't the weakest in the room," Vinma insists.

Slyvie scoffs. "Eris is the smartest here he-"

"I don't care! I need to know that if we have to fight the Dragon King, he can actually live up to the title of Supreme Commander," Vinma says,

Eris chuckles smugly, "My power is a force so strong, I have to conceal it all the time. Are you sure you wanna know my power level, might make you feel small," Eris chuckles, hinting at the fact he's a small, but buff goblin. Vinma scoffs and nods.

"My true power level is 95,216," The faces around the room lit up with a shock, some with fear. "But... being a fairy means Nature sealed up half of my power, so... times two, and if I remember correctly..." he speculates

"Ah!" He says smiling. "One ninety, four three and a two," he laughs. "Far pass the barrier of a G Class mage," Eris says cheesingly.

Vinma squints his eye with irritation. "My bad for doubting..." he says.

Vinma then gets up and begin to leave.

"Magicae in three days, huh?" he whispers walking out the room. Everyone else gets up too to leave and prepare for what's next.

Eris, Jesse, and Deros walk through the jungle, on their way back to Magicae.

"So, about that conversation," Deros said as he walks up to walk beside Eris as Eris walks ahead of them. Eris nods lightly. "Right, you want to know what's changed. Truth is... it takes time to explain. Time that we don't have," Eris says, lying.

Jesse rolls his eye, annoyed. He then squints his eye and furrows his face in attempt to read Eris's mind again.

"It's best if I tell you all another time, maybe after everything blows over. How does that so-

"What's the In-between and why are you afraid to go there? And who is Caelus?!" Jesse yells out.

Eris freezes in his tracks in awe. He turns around with a raised eyebrow. "You said you couldn't read my mind," Eris asserts with seriousness. "I... I can't. Only saw glimpses," Jesse responds, with his nervous walls up again.

"Eris there is something you aren't telling us?" Deros steps up, "What is it?"

Eris looks at Deros then looks back at Jesse and sighs and continue walking ahead.

"The In-Between is a place for meeting with my family. And I'm not scared to go back, just... skeptical," he hesitates. "But there isn't a place like that for the Mediocris," Jesse says. "I'm not!..." Eris stops himself

"I'm not talking about the Mediocris. I'm talking about the conceptualones," Eris says vaguely.

"What do you mean? Who are you? Cause you're not Eris,"

"I Am!" Eris refutes to Deros. He stops again and turns around. He breathes out heavily. "I... I didn't think it'd take me twenty-eight years to remember, and all of it still hasn't come back yet. But I...

"I'm not just Eris, I'm more. I remember being one of the conceptual ones, Sky," he says remarkably.

Deros and Jesse look at each other in confusion, not understanding what Eris means.

Eris chuckles. "Right. You... or rather, the Primisi tribes and the Pixies called us something else. They called me, Siure, leader of the Deusrians, God of Weather, Sky and Lighting," Eris reveals

Jesse and Deros both stand there with their mouths dropped

"WHAT?!
