Yuan Yindi stealthily moved forward, heading straight to the base of the wall of the room that still had its lights on.
The room was silent.
Yuan Yindi crouched at the base of the wall for a while. Not hearing any noise, he was basically sure the people inside had fallen asleep.
"They really are wealthy!"
Being asleep yet still having the candles lit—such extravagance is something only possible with plenty of money.
Once he was sure the people inside were asleep, Yuan Yindi headed straight to the manor's kitchen.
The door to the kitchen wasn't locked.
Pushing the door open and entering, Yuan Yindi was taken aback by the sight before him, under the hazy moonlight.
The kitchen, once so barren that even mice would weep, was now fully stocked.
Earthen jars filled with rice and flour were placed against the wall. Many smoked meats hung from the beams, and the baskets on the wall were brimming with eggs.
