Luke asked, "Why were you two fighting?"
"He wanted to resign because he thought the IT industry was too exhausting and wanted to switch to a more physical job, something that would allow him to exercise and work under the sun.
I disagreed. I thought he was being overly optimistic. Every job has its difficulties, and we should find ways to overcome them rather than escape.
I felt that changing jobs at his age was unwise. Once he quits, it won't be easy to go back, and his income would drop significantly. I didn't want to alter our current life. I hoped he could persevere because we're not young anymore, and we need to consider family and children.
