"You're thinking of opening a studio?" Victor suddenly asked.
"I had a lot of ideas before graduation, but afterward, I felt being a teacher was better, so I dropped that idea myself." Polly Sutton replied with a smile, looking back at Victor, "Haven't you ever been confused about what you want to do?"
Victor seriously contemplated Polly's question. Have I ever been confused?
It seems not, the only time I was confused might have been about my attitude towards Polly before I confirmed my feelings.
But if we're talking about being confused about what I want to do, then certainly not.
Polly looked at his reaction and knew his answer, "Lucky you, being the favored one."
But Victor asked, "Don't you think such a life is boring?"
He was talking about his own life. He didn't find it boring, but feared Polly might find him boring.
Polly moved her lips, wondering if Victor had misunderstood what boredom meant?
His life is so thrilling, and he calls it boring?
