"Sophie Lynn has a media company here, and Michael Knight is in the circle. Wouldn't it be better to ask him?" Polly Sutton leaned back in her chair, looking at Victor with a half-smile.
Victor's brow furrowed, partly because he disliked the name Sophie Lynn, and partly because although he wasn't in the film industry, he had connections there. She could ask him as well.
"Michael Knight likes you." Victor spoke in a deep voice, "Since you know he likes you, you should learn to avoid suspicion."
Polly Sutton could sense that Victor was genuinely angry this time, but she still didn't know the reason for his anger.
"Are you sure you want to talk to me in that tone?" Polly Sutton's tone was calm, and she looked at Victor with a constant smile, though the smile held a slight chill.
Victor and Polly Sutton locked eyes, neither willing to be the first to speak, and the atmosphere gradually dropped to freezing point.
