Victor and Polly Sutton left the hotel; Polly was sitting in the car, staring at Victor. "Is your senior crazy? Why does he do this to you?"
"I don't know, maybe jealousy."
This made Polly even more perplexed. "Why's he jealous of you, though?"
"I don't know, but other than jealousy, I can't think of any other reason, since there's really no direct benefit between us." Victor glanced at Polly. "Did you talk to his wife?"
"Yeah, from the conversation, I felt she's someone who cares a lot about fame and fortune. The impression she gave me was that of someone who puts on airs, really cares about face, probably the kind of person who enjoys being surrounded by people when she goes out."
In any case, Polly really didn't like this kind of person, not only disliked but also kind of resented.
"Her family in City B is also considered a big, wealthy household." Victor replied to Polly.
