Grace Yates listened to Polly Sutton's words, as if she suddenly understood why Victor Parker insisted on her and no one else.

She also understood why other women left no trace in Victor Parker's eyes, while only she captivated all of his attention.

"The wind is picking up." Polly Sutton looked at the shadows on the window.

"Yes, the wind is picking up." Grace Yates replied, also watching the shadows outside, "After dawn, everything will become the past."

Polly Sutton retracted her gaze and looked at Grace Yates, "And what about you? Your father's case is almost settled. Do you still not want to reconsider your situation with Jonathan Jones? After this, he might also leave Eagle Isle."
