The Scarlet King took a deep breath as he placed his hand over the piece of armor. The moment his palm touched the cold metal, his eyes began to glow as the Power of Chaos awakened within him.
Slowly, carefully, his power seeped into the fragment of the Sacred Treasure.
This was a piece of Fourth Realm treasure. Normally, not even Ancestor Power could truly affect such an artifact. Its structure existed on a level far beyond the reach of ordinary laws.
Yet, to Cain's surprise—and quiet satisfaction—the Power of Chaos once again proved capable of interfering with it.
The chaotic energy slipped between the microscopic layers of the artifact, probing its structure like an invisible tide. Through this connection, Cain could sense faint echoes of the other fragments scattered across the realm.
And more importantly, he could make this one susceptible to his influence.
Using the Power of Chaos as a channel, Cain slowly embedded another force into the treasure: the Power of Karma.
