Cain nodded to the True Primordial of the Void, accepting Anark's resolve without comment. At the very least, that was one burden he would not need to worry about. With that settled, he rose from his seat in the Golden Hall and stepped into one of the empty chambers. There he waited for the ArchDeities to arrive, his presence calm but his mind already several steps ahead.
Through the scanning force field of the [A.I. Chip Module], he monitored the unfolding conversations across the forces of the five Empyrean Worlds.
Arkam, Amara, Uriel, and the others were informing their forces of the new command structure—declaring Cain the newly appointed Warmaster of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance. Predictably, this stirred unrest.
That was especially true among the factions that were ruled by the Dark Races and that had a history of xenophobia. Many resisted the idea of following someone who looked, to their eyes, too human, even if he was technically a Primordial.
