It made sense—the Depravita of Pride had been the spiritual leader of the Scarlet Crusade, the strongest of their warriors, and the one who had faced the most perilous battles, putting her life in the line over and over again. Her reward was befitting her immense contributions.
However, before Cain could contemplate the reward of her wife further, his gaze instinctively shifted downward, and his eyes gleamed with anticipation as a truly colossal pillar of golden energy surged forth.
