"What do you like to eat?" Mr. Zhan asked.
You Mei smiled and mentioned a place that turned out to be a nice private kitchen restaurant.
Mr. Zhan drove her there.
You Mei seemed to be a regular at places like this, expertly ordering some of the signature dishes.
"Has Mr. Zhan's wife ever liked someone before?"
While eating, You Mei casually asked.
Mr. Zhan's eyes darkened.
You Mei laughed and said, "It seems so; once the heart is lost, it's not easy to get it back."
"It's not lost, just temporarily misplaced. I'll get it back," Mr. Zhan said firmly.
You Mei said, "For someone as outstanding as Mr. Zhan, retrieving it surely isn't hard. However, a woman's heart is like a needle at the bottom of the sea; often, just because you're nice doesn't mean she'll like you. Women's affection is complicated, yet also simple. Let me offer Mr. Zhan a suggestion and see if it works."
"What suggestion?" Mr. Zhan was intrigued.
You Mei asked, "How does Mr. Zhan plan to give the gift?"
