He lightly touches the line with his fingers, and it blurs out for a section.
He says nothing, gets out of the car, and closes the door.

Clive plasters a slight smile, slipping into his role, and they head inside the restaurant.
Just before entering, Clive checks his finger and notices that it is a red stain.

They order two plates and a pitcher of lemonade.
While the food is brought out, John disappears for a moment into the bathroom.
Clive will wait at the table, inside the public restroom, in front of the sink.
John removes the gloves from his trembling hands as the stream of water falls on them.
There's blood stuck to them, the tips of some of his fingers are badly bruised.

John squeezes his finger for a moment to stop the bleeding.
Then he washes the gloves and wrings them out as much as he can.

The man says he knows John; in the interview with Sam, he recognized him in the photo.
