John gets a little annoyed as he turns on his computer and arranges his things to start working.
Clive, with a touch of sarcasm, tells him openly: "It seems like you don't want to see me today."
John confirms this, says he's a little tired, and just wants the day to be over so he can go home.
Clive is silent for a moment.
He looks at John; he can see he's wearing thin, touch-sensitive gloves.
He asks John: "Has he gotten cold?" John agrees.
Since it's been chilly these days, he feels comfortable covering his hands.
John's simple tone doesn't seem to hide anything, so Clive gets up from his chair, says goodbye to John, and goes to wander around the construction company.
This gives John a bit of relief. It only lasted a second, as Agent Clive returns to John's cubicle.
He tells him to come back after lunch.
There have been some new cases they need to discuss.
John's face reflects anticipation and a hint of annoyance.
Clive likes this, and tells John: "We'll see what he did all night."
Clive leaves immediately, leaving John with a mix of emotions.
He doesn't think he can concentrate on his work.
Perhaps Agent Clive knows something about Alice?
There's a high probability that he went to her house with someone else's knowledge.
