Drip, drip, drip.
Muddy drops of water from the filthy walls fell onto a fair, delicate face, the cool sensation prompting her to slowly open her eyes. Her unique slitted pupils were first filled with confusion, but quickly changed to caution and tension as she began to strain her body to survey her surroundings.
She was none other than Dana.
Although she had lost almost all of her dragon clan traits, making Dana look indistinguishable from the human clan, in the darkness, she still displayed the dragon clan's superb night vision pupils, allowing her to better observe the surrounding conditions.
The flickering candlelight not far away cast the outlines of rows of metal bars, sinking Dana's heart rapidly to the bottom, enveloping her in a chilling aura.
For she found herself imprisoned alone in a dark, ancient dungeon where the air was filled with a pungent smell of blood and decay, almost enough to induce vomiting.
