"This is bad."
Tokugawa Ieyasu's cold voice contained an edge of grim severity as he studied Rui with his sensors and his cybernetic eyes. The latter had been created with the purpose of bypassing the anti-Ieyasu domain technique.
Which meant that he could be reading Rui's mind each moment they fought.
He knew exactly what Rui was doing.
It was shocking that Rui had become so powerful that he could survive a fight with Sentinel Prime, the Suneater, and Tokugawa Ieyasu while distracted, but what was even more concerning to Ieyasu was that he understood what Rui was doing better than anybody else.
He had helped Rui create the Forge of Creation as a technique, so he recognized what Rui was doing to his inherited muscle memory from Anthea. He also understood just how powerful Rui would become if he were allowed to complete this miraculous assimilation of power.
