"Alright...so basically, you were desperate to survive, Your dad has disowned you after the 'pretty boy case' was buried away. You lost everything you took for granted when you were killing those innocent teens, and eventually ended-up needing work because even as a vampire, you were no longer enjoying the safety and anonymity you once had." Ramon said to which Edward reluctantly nodded to, he was still trying to avoid looking at Ramon.
"How did you end-up working for Raud Valentino of all people?" Faunus asked.
"i just heard someone powerful and rich was hiring Underlings." Edward explained.
"What I'm curious about is how you felt or pretty much didn't about the fact your new employer has it out for Ned." Fernando said.
"I had no idea at first he had issues with Ned specifically until I saw the book and took a peak...and as for the book, that's all I took from the guy and ran away but then I sold the book for money and forgot about it for a moment until I realized I either find it or die.
But for years no luck finding the book anywhere, and I went from informant to another until I almost gave up, that's when somehow a man recently managed to track it for me.
he sent me the information and told me that the book changed hands few times over the years, until it ended-up at the kizami shop on...so. I went there and had that unfortunate meeting with Yuuya." Edward explained.
"You left out some answers." Ramon said.
"Yeah like how you have went from tormenting teens to serving a maniac? You were like what, hired muscle?" Fernando questioned.
"Fansy you acting as if you're any different than me, I happen to know a little bit about you Fernando." Edward replied smugly
"Listen you unrecycled trash. You are in my nephew's body, that is the only reason you're safe now. And trust me it will not be for long." Faunus said knocking the smugness out of Edward face.
...Few minutes later...
Following Faunus outside.
"Hey Fau are you alright...You're quite the roller-coaster today." Fernando asked.
"I am fine...Just annoyed having to have to put up with Edward." Faunus replied.
"Sure that's all?"
"Well..."
"My heat...i mean I am...In heat, I have taken proper medication but..."
"Fau, I see you're extra sensitive today. That's understandable." Fernando said.
Nodding, "Yes...It is a little sadder than usual now that everyone know...I wonder why am I even born an omega if I am going to be barren..." Faunus replied, downcasting his eyes.
"Hey...i don't mean to be insensitive but Why are you so hell bound on being pregnant yourself...I tried pregnancy, it's not a walk in the park." Fernando said, "All that morning sickness, gaining weight, back ache headache, teethache all sorts of ache!" he added.
"i know it is rough...i helped few pregnant people before... Including you... But I want to be a mother of my own biological child, I want my belly to swell, I want to feel the kicks... The heartbeats."
"Fau, what you're asking for is the impossible, and a little selfish considering your situation... *sighs* you can adopt or let Jasper carry if he's comfortable, besides it's too early for children anyway like..."
"i know, but...Well...Jasper agreed for me to switch bodies with him, I can experience the whole through him!" Faunus said cheerfully, "Huh...He's willing to destroy his body forever to make you happy... Not bad I guess. To be honest the only thing good about being reborn is the fact I got my figure and normal bladder back! You saw how I got after birthing Tacito, took me months to even feel like myself again!" Fernando replied sort of chuckling, unaware his words suddenly clicked in Faunus's head and the more fancy twin instantly went back to being sad and even feeling guilty.
"Oh right I forgot for a second about all of that, Jasper's body will have to go through everything... Maybe it is a bad Idea."
"Don't get all mopey on me, maybe he's not gonna go through all that, I mean Ned looks good enough after birthing-!" but before Fernando could finish his words, "You two, come inside, Edward will talk some more...hmm, is everything alright?" Ramon asked popping up into the corridor outside the wine cellar.
"Yes, just a second." Faunus hurried back in.
Sighing again, "Maybe I shouldn't have said that..." Fernando mumbled.
...Inside...
"Okay I'll be honest with you, I didn't really do much character development on myself these past decades, I'm not saying I'm better now but at least I put my past behind me...especially because karma had it for me when I met that man." Edward said.
"I take it he wasn't a pleasant boss." Fernando said unamused.
"Bingo, he was an asshole from the get go, Raud was acting like a king from the moment I Meet him...Anyway as I said when I had enough of him, I knew I needed to leave and had the brilliant dumb idea to steal something from him, that book. It was mainly because I was under the impression it was high value since the man seemed to... you know, value it." Edward explained.
"Obviously that put a target on you." Faunus said.
"Yep...i knew from the moment I took it, he's probably going to kill me and so I tried to get rid of the book, I sold it like I said before, I thought it'll get him off my back knowing I had no longer possessed it but...it didn't matter, I was still under a hit.
So I tried to get it back but the fucking book ended-up changing hands until it made It to the kizami antique shop, and you know the rest." Edward replied.
"That's it?...Any information on the guy at least, Ned's shitty dad?" Fernando asked.
"Coming to think of it I haven't really heard the name Valentino in the hidden community other than to refer to Big brotherNed which is surprising considering that's his father's name too." Ramon questioned.
"That's because he doesn't really use his name, Raud I mean...I don't know about this man personally but he really hates it when people use his name, I mean I'm talking about the full name and stuff... I don't think I've heard anybody call his name and survive! It's always your grace, your honor, your lordship!" Edward explained," I heard his name by mistake that's how I know it." he added.
"i spoke with Mother before...he said that in Derora after he left his abusive father, Ned didn't change his name because he wanted to piss Lord Raud Valentino off." Faunus said.
"That's true, I chatted with him recently, he said something about that he went into hiding, Ned didn't care about the name change since he didn't really except to stick out until he became the king's doctor back in Derora, but even when he moved to live in the palace, Raud could still not reach him, it was Like hiding in plain sight." Fernando replied.
"So in theory, big brother Ned managed to stay safe in Derora due to the limited reach of his father, and since he knew his real heritage and eventually moved to the royal palace, Raud was unable to reach him out of fear Muriel might protect Ned and that would immediately make Raud lose everything. But What I don't understand is It's obvious that Raud lost everything eventually... Yet somehow he's back to life, stronger and more vicious than before at least according to what we know so far. We can assume he has his past life memories and perhaps had started some sort of revenge plan against big brother at least decades ago.
Considering his specific interference with Garrick's mother." Ramon speculated.
"Yeahhj, I don't know much about the man's plans." Edward said.
"I suppose so, you are an untrustworthy Goon, obviously he would not let you in on his plans." Faunus nodded.
"Yeah but I'm smart, dodged those bracelets like a champ! To be fair those bracelets are nasty, I'm glad I never got'em, maybe he didn't want to waste his precious devices on me!" Edward replied.
"i see, so it's not easy to make'em." Fernando said, "Yeah, they cost him shit ton of money, that's why important assets like Rapunzel get one and I don't." Edward explained.
"What do you mean?" Ramon asked.
"Those bracelets literally make you his slave, you think they cost nothing? and btw in case you're wondering, There's no relationship between Rapunzel and Raud, sexual I mean." Edward replied.
"Eww, we did not ask...WHY would you mention this?" Faunus asked.
"Idk I just did, also Raud actually has a lover surprisingly!...Some extermly beautiful Disabled omega girl. Apparently Raud becomes a different man when she's next to him." Edward mentioned.
"A beautiful disabled lover, how?" Faunus asked.
"Blind, both eyes, she's also very weak looking and sensitive, she's only started dating him a year ago. I know about her because Rapunzel rambled about her to me when she switched My brother back into his body." he explained.
"Got a name, general description?" Fernando asked.
"Oh right! Her name is Gabriella I think, Rapunzel says she's some Columbian immigrant who came here few years ago for treatment and somehow crossed paths with Raud, he's paying for her hospital bills and care. Real sugar daddy style." Edward replied.
"Why would Rapunzel be so chatty about Gabriella?" Faunus asked, "She's grateful, it was that girl who convinced Raud to let Rapunzel try to find Garrick." Edward said.
"Weird...So he's what now, a good boyfriend?" Fernando questioned.
"Who knows, that girl apparently makes him calm and cool, but I doubt she understands her very much older boyfriend is a monster, according to Rapunzel, Raud is very careful to keep his activities separate from his relationship with Gabby." Edward replied.
...Meanwhile...
"So?" Ned asked,"The mommy and daddy dearest confirmed the book has spells and powerful ones I might add hidden behind the magic wall of a fake fairytale about you...i think that book is what enabled your father to be so strong and rich, it's obvious it's heavily enchanted and the kizami couple said that ever since that book came to their shop, more trouble has followed them, which probably explains why Yuuya got way sicker around his parents." Jade explained.
"Shit...That's basically the same with Yuuya, he said he noticed that the tale about me felt odd, like a front, it was obvious someone enchanted the pages to present a fake front to hide the spells within the book, which means this book has to have belonged to my father, Edward was being honest... I bet my father made the book tell a faulty story of me out of pettiness." Ned replied.
"So You don't think this book traveled from Derora anymore?"
"Honestly I don't know... I doubt it now... But anyways, we should get going already."
"Hold on... There's something you're not telling me mom?" Jade asked skeptically.
"Huh?"
"Agu stole the book to get Yuuya healed, did it work? Is he healthy?"
Sighing, "I don't know, Yuuya seemed just like I left him... In fact Agu is frustrated about it, neither he nor Yuuy can feel any changes." Ned replied.
"Maybe it hadn't kicked in yet?... You don't think Rapunzel duped them...do you?" Jade said feeling slightly disappointed.
"That would be real bad, Kowa can add this as a charge for the trial that's waiting for Rapunzel..."
Surprised, "Huh? What trial?"
"Never mind! Let's go back to the hotel, see if Edward gave new info or maybe I should call Garrick and see how's he doing so far... I feel worried about him, he could be in trouble!" Ned said changing the subject quickly.
