He gave a signal, and from the darkness, two men shoved forward a young man whose hands were tied and mouth gagged. That had to be Riana's younger brother. He looked terrified, but he was still alive.
"Now," continued Madam Fani, her steps drawing closer. "We are going to negotiate. You will surrender yourself tomorrow, as planned. But not just for a false confession. You will sign a statement transferring all of your shares and personal assets to me. That way, your 'destruction' will be complete, and the Hutomo empire will return to the rightful hands."
Alvin groaned inwardly. This was even worse than he had imagined. It wasn't just about imprisoning him. It was about erasing his name completely.
"And if I refuse?" Alvin challenged.
Madam Fani raised her hand, and one of the men pressed a large knife against Riana's brother's neck. The young man moaned in fear.
"You are not in a position to refuse, Alvin. You think this is a choice? This is obedience."
