"The two of them were caught by the Mantis, if your comrade isn't able to react quickly in this case, then he will die eventually from his lack of reaction speed." Daphne didn't mince her words.
This might seem harsh, especially given the circumstances they were in, but it was undoubtedly the truth. As a vampire who gets involved in fights like this, if Ben's reaction speed was this slow, then he would die eventually.
Logan was a Rank lower than Ben, yet he was able to react quickly, blocking the Mantis' attack. Ben didn't react accordingly even though the duo were snapped up at the same time.
