"Liberator? Hah! That's quite a claim!" Hong Dao exclaimed. He didn't sound pleased.
Amon wasn't upset by Hong Dao's tone. He replied, "If your pride made it hard for you to swallow the fact that you need a foreign force to save your nation, that is your problem. The fact remains. You wouldn't have gotten here without me."
"Hmph!" Hong Dao harrumphed.
"We can argue who has more merits later. We have a more important issue at hand," Ha Shouze said. "This uprising doesn't succeed until we defeat the Supreme Councilor."
"You people go ahead. I will join you soon," Amon told them.
"You have somewhere else to be?" Ha Shouze asked. The access to the top floor was right above them. Where else would Amon go after coming here?
Hong Dao, on the other hand, was glad Amon didn't join them. "Let's go, Brother Ha Shouze. This is Khode's matter. It should be we, Khode citizens, who settle the matter. We don't need some foreigner to claim that he liberates us or that kind of shit."
