Lao Zen might have given the courtesy of announcing his intention when he entered, but the others he brought didn't bother, especially the battle puppets. They just dropped to the floor below and started attacking. The kingdom soldiers followed and supported them.
The torturers near Amon were at first confused by the ambush. One of them snapped to attention and decided by himself the need to eliminate Amon before he was rescued by the kingdom soldiers.
"For the rebels…!!" He yelled while charging toward Amon with a knife.
Amon was prepared. Throughout the tortures today, he received internal wounds, which would have caused him to vomit blood, but he kept the blood in his closed mouth. When the torturer came to him, he spat this blood. The blood struck the torturer's face and burned it.
The torturer screamed in pain as he held his face. This dissuaded the other torturers from approaching.
