"What about this, Naiad? Remember anything?" Oceanus asked.
Oceanus and Thalassa tirelessly tried to stir memories within Celes' mind, presenting him with various accessories, rings, bracelets, earrings, and dresses, hoping to spark recognition.
But there was nothing for him to recall. The boy was clearly not who they believed him to be. His soul, though identical to Naiad's, did not influence Celes' thoughts in any way.
Although he felt a strange, nostalgic sensation, he couldn't quite explain it. No images or memories accompanied it, just an vague feeling, nothing more.
Perhaps there was something, but whatever it was, Celes had fully formed his own personality and sense of self. The soul that once belonged to Naiad had completely reincarnated into a new identity.
This unsettling truth deeply troubled the royal family, a reality they were reluctant to accept, even as all four of them began to understand why Naiad had become Celes.
