After Oliver left to dispose of the body of the hotel staff Elias killed, some strange things happened.
Elias turned on his side, resting on his arm, staring at Amaira's pale face that lost all its color; cold to the touch. "You keep making me have to wait for you, Amaira."
"I waited almost two centuries for you to be reborn, and now I'll have to wait another month for you to open your eyes." Elias took her bandaged hand in his hand, entwining their fingers, "And to make things even more annoying, everyone's trying to take you away from me."
He sighed while rolling onto his back, "My delusional mother is back; thought I'd let you know. She still has a problem with our relationship, and of course, still talking bullshit about fate and whatever."
Elias smiled in amusement as he stared up at the ceiling, "Some want to use you to kill me and some want to use you to control me." He chuckled, "I think it's so funny that they think they can use you to do anything."
