Shadow suddenly placed a hand on Nux's shoulder and nodded with a meaningful look on her face.
"Let me do it."
She spoke.
Nux glanced at her and frowned.
This was important, probably the most important thing in his mind, one step wrong and he would… lose everything.
He couldn't hurt either the child or his Allura.

Shadow spoke directly, looking into Nux's eyes.
"You should not be the one doing it, you are too nervous."
"I can kill my emotions and stabilize myself."
Nux countered.
He could do that, at the level he had reached, the amount of bloodlines he had devoured, he had complete control over emotions, be it someone else's or his own.

"You know you cannot do that."
Shadow answered directly and Nux turned silent. Felberta nodded as well.
