This effectively condemned its citizens to a life of suffering. After the collapse of the USSR, the Russian Federation has come to be ruled by a single elite group of people: an oligarchy.

A true pity, to have squandered a nation with such immense potential, possessing all it could ask for; the most fertile of lands, numerous resources, and a large population.
