Chapter 81 - Abyss of Fear

Regret is the muscle of conscience!

The Wanderer tried to escape from himself, and found that he was his worst enemy.

A man who silently walks toward evil, to do harm, to hurt, to injure, and to make others suffer. The torture lies in his words, which imprison the mind and make it doubt itself.

So, nothing was true. Or everything could be. Everything could be literal or figurative; the meaning, from the beginning, was not promised, but shared with you. Shall we? We're getting close to the end; it's time to take off our masks and reveal ourselves.

What would you do in the desert? Under the burning sun, with the sand cutting your feet and the silence echoing in your ears? What would you do if you were your own villain and also your only savior? Would you be able to defeat yourself?

The Wanderer understood that he is the most feared of all enemies, the only one who can prevent life, the only one capable of sentencing others to the punishment of death.

For so long, he felt weak, because instead of being his ally, he offered himself as executioner. The Wanderer was the one who pricked and pierced the soul with perverse punishments and inflicted constant humiliation.

There was nothing external to be saved, no stone to be shattered in the center of the universe. The world doesn't need salvation through external acts — we need to save each other.

The change of the world begins within. When the Wanderer changes the heart, it will be possible to change even the orbit of the sun.

Behold: the day of relief. The Wanderer is no longer a slave to himself. The yoke is easy. The burden, light.
