Chapter 128 - Meeting The Races

Fang stood there for a long beat, his eyes boring into mine. He didn't totally believe my words—he was a veteran commander, and he knew a salesman when he saw one.

I just kept my silence, maintaining a mask of cold professionalism while the entire world around us was being systematically bombarded with falling, burning rocks.

The sound was apocalyptic. Every few seconds, the chariot would shudder as a smaller meteorite impacted the shield, the translucent dome rippling with azure energy as it neutralised the kinetic force.

My warriors had already been recalled; I had seen the red signals in the sky and pulled them back to the deck before the first rock hit. I also sent a mental message to the Illusionists scattered in the city ruins to retreat.
