Elliana Lyle responded lightly, a forced smile tugging at her lips, her eyes filled with unhidden disappointment.
What she instinctively concealed, she no longer felt the need to in his embrace.
"Good girl." He gently picked her up, sitting her on his lap, and finally embraced her from behind.
His lips brushed softly against her ear, then tilted her chin up to kiss her deeply.
Although she was somewhat angry, she knew he truly loved her, so even though she knew he was hiding things from her, she couldn't be too mad.
Besides, wasn't she the same way?
"Norman Bennett~ Say you love me." In a moment of passion, she tilted her face upwards, murmuring with a whimper, her words slightly slurred.
The man gradually released her, whispering softly in her ear, "I love you."
Those simple three words carried all his love and deep passion; the girl in his arms was his lifelong pursuit.
