"What happened to the friend who came with me? Why can't I see him anywhere?"
Nancy Sutton looked at the person in charge with some confusion, hoping he could give her an answer.
The person in charge knew where Sean Grant had gone but wasn't sure if he could accomplish the task. To avoid disappointing Nancy, he just shrugged since he wasn't certain.
"Miss, I don't know either. The gentleman just greeted me and said he'd be back soon, then he left."
Nancy felt a bit helpless. With her best friend gone, she didn't feel like trying on more clothes as she was genuinely tired.
Sean Grant rushed to the designer's place with urgency, explaining his situation in a long speech to get the dress.
The designer's attitude was very firm; she wouldn't easily reveal her dress to the public.
"Sorry, Miss, you'd better contact someone else. This dress is just for display and isn't for sale."
