As the first light of dawn peeked over the horizon, Noah led the way as I followed along with Aaron, Lorelei, Gray, and Brandon back toward the pack house.
I was deep in thought about Noah’s words and how right he was. My love always knew how to calm me down, and it reaffirmed I made the right decision to keep trying.
We had so many ups and downs, and there were many times when I thought we simply were not going to pull through or work it out. But by the grace of the moon goddess, here we were.
We were leading a bunch of lost people to where they would be taken care of and hopefully woken up further. These Luna lilies were full of surprises, that was for sure.
The ring that’d glowed to help guide us to Lorelei dimmed before suddenly crumbling to dust. Some of it landed in the palm of my hand, and I examined it.
I poked it with my index finger, raising a brow and letting out a soft sigh. When I glanced over to Noah, I noticed his ring had suffered the same fate.
