Another day, and more pack business… not that I minded. Keeping busy was good for the mind and soul, but most importantly, the pack.
I tried to keep my mind off the situation with Gray, but annoyance tugged at my mind. He seemed to be on a good path, but I couldn’t help but feel very cautious still.
I would for a while, I knew.
His damn bastard of a father murdered my mother and kidnapped my mate. At that thought, a spark of sheer rage rippled within me once more, something I tried to shove down so that I could focus.
I was in my study, organizing things for the pack and setting aside tasks in order of importance, trying my hardest to not let my emotions get the better of me.
I had started to win out over them when suddenly a knock came on my door, causing me to let out a sigh.
Damn it, just when I’d been completely focused and without anything else on the mind, I thought.
“Come in,” I grunted.
