He's the king of 'demons' for a reason; he didn't even come to save his own child when Rio caused Alverto's death.
In other words, it's highly likely that he had a motive to send Aurora to this place.

Aurora had crossed hell to reach this place, Alverto had sacrificed his life to save her, and she didn't want to get involved in any more conspiracies in the future, so she told the truth.
