Claire Green heard this, her brow twitched, and her eyes were slightly cold, "Your grandpa really knows how to play around."
Mason Quinn's eyes showed a faint helplessness, but his mouth was full of amusement.
"Indeed, my grandpa is not only playful but also handsome and wealthy."
The people nearby watched their back-and-forth banter with great interest, thoroughly entertained.
Did Mason just advertise his grandpa?
Claire Green chuckled softly, her beautiful eyes lifting, "But you can't deny your grandpa is too old."
Mason Quinn was momentarily speechless, looking at her in disbelief.
Did he just hear Claire Green disliking Lord Julian for being old?
This was probably the first time anyone said that, he really wanted to see how a certain someone would react.
Thinking of this, he quickly texted that certain someone on WeChat.
On the other side, Julian Sia was looking at his documents, heard the notification, opened his phone, and saw Mason Quinn's message.
[Lord Julian, guess who I saw in the Capital City?]
Julian Sia's expression remained indifferent. Seeing this didn't pique his interest. Just as he was about to close it, Mason Quinn sent another message.
[Claire Green.]
Seeing these three words, Julian Sia's eyes deepened, the kid went to the Capital City.
Mason Quinn grinned happily, eyes glued to his phone. He doubted that Julian was truly uninterested.
Soon, the phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, Mason glanced at Claire Green, answered the call leisurely, "Lord Julian, you sure called back quickly!"
Julian Sia sneered, his tone icy and distant.
"Mason Quinn, do you think you're living too comfortably?"
Mason's smile froze on his face, Lord Julian was truly merciless, despite Mason eagerly sharing the news with him.
"Pass the phone to Claire," Julian Sia said nonchalantly.
Mason realized he was just a tool, passed the phone over with slight annoyance.
Claire Green saw the phone placed in front of her, not taking it, instead said playfully, "What did your grandpa say over the phone?"
"My grandpa wants to talk to you, hurry and take it," Mason shoved the phone into her hand and took a big gulp of water.
Claire Green had just placed the phone to her ear when she heard the man's magnetic voice.
"Grandpa."
Claire Green chuckled softly, "Mason said his grandpa is you. How about it, the generation gap is increasing."
Sensing the tease in her words, Julian Sia's brows were relaxed as he chuckled lowly.
"I prefer being called brother over grandpa."
Claire Green "..."
No need for that.
Seeing her silence, Julian Sia laughed deeply, "Why did you go to the Capital City?"
"Just something to do," Claire replied succinctly.
The kid didn't want to say what was up, Julian Sia didn't intend to ask further, casually opened up, "I'm coming back to the Capital City tonight, will you come to pick me up, Claire?"
Claire Green didn't want to flatter herself thinking this man came to the Capital City for her, she thought about having no plans for the night, so she agreed.
"See you tonight, Claire," Julian Sia said in a deep voice before hanging up.
Tossing the phone back to Mason, she leisurely started eating something.
"What did Lord Julian say?" Mason curiously asked.
Claire Green gave him a playful glance, her red lips curling, "Your grandpa is coming to the Capital City tonight, happy?"
What the heck, Lord Julian is chasing someone all the way to the Capital City.
Knowing that the Sia family's elder constantly wishes for Lord Julian's return, yet there was no reaction from him.
Couldn't help but sigh inwardly, this young lady's charm truly was unique!
"Claire Green, where are you headed after eating?"
Anyway, since Lord Julian's return was a given, might as well chat a bit more.
"Why, are you planning to follow me?"
Claire Green's cool voice carried a lazy hint.
Mason Quinn considered it seriously, "I wouldn't mind."
"Go home and rest," Claire Green glanced at him, tossed the remark behind her, and left.
Watching her leave, Mason Quinn chuckled, her temper did resemble Lord Julian's.
"Mason, who is that girl?" The people nearby couldn't hold back any longer, and as soon as the main character left, they immediately spoke up.
Mason Quinn glanced around, seeing everyone brimming with curiosity, he feigned a cough, "You want to know?"
"Yes." They all nodded in unison, waiting for the big reveal.
Instead, Mason slowly said, "Go ask Lord Julian."
They all exhaled in relief; to ask Lord Julian would require some serious guts.
...
Song Manor.
Ever since Dane Song returned infuriated last time, the atmosphere had been gloomy. The servants worked in constant fear.
Olivia Song came down from upstairs, glanced around, and relaxed the moment she didn't see Dane Song.
She looked at the woman on the couch, sauntered over to hug her arm coquettishly, "Mom, what's for dinner?"
Sammie Ziegler affectionately patted her head, "All your favorites, go ahead!"
"I knew mom is the best," Olivia Song joyfully gave her a peck on the face.
Sammie Ziegler shook her head with amusement; she was still just a child at heart.
After dinner, Olivia Song couldn't help but speak up, remembering something from yesterday, "Mom, Claire Green took leave."
Unexpectedly, Sammie showed no reaction; she looked at Olivia before speaking, "Don't get involved in that girl's matters. Isn't your monthly exam approaching?"
A flicker of darkness crossed Olivia Song's eyes, but she replied softly.
"Yes, it's next week."
"Focus on studying, as for Claire Green, your dad has plans," Sammie Ziegler advised earnestly.
"Alright," Olivia Song agreed sweetly.
...
At night, Claire Green leaned lazily against the wall in the airport lounge, looking down at her spinning phone.
Mason Quinn saw her like this, his mouth twitching, "Can't you find a proper seat to sit in?"
Claire Green heard this, a mischievous smile gracing her lips.
Mason Quinn knew this didn't bode well.
Sure enough, the next second he heard her lazy voice, "Don't want your grandpa to miss me."
No need, my grandpa isn't that old.
So why am I discussing this with her?
As soon as Julian Sia appeared, he caught sight of the eye-catching person.
Unbeknownst to him, he was quite the eye-catching presence too.
As if sensing something, Claire Green lifted her gaze and saw the man walking towards her.
Today, he wore a white shirt, the collar open with two buttons undone, his neck line clearly visible, extending down from the collar.
"Let's go, your grandpa's here," Claire Green said nonchalantly, strolling over lazily.
"Brother looks handsome today!"
Upon meeting, she blurted this out, making Julian Sia's eyes smile as he reached out to muss her hair.
"Claire, mind your image."
Mason Quinn unexpectedly ate a mouthful of dog food.
Why did I come to pick them up? To witness them flaunting their affection as if no one else were around?
Suddenly, he recalled what Claire mentioned that afternoon, a sly look appearing in his eyes.
"Lord Julian, I've got something to say."
Julian glanced at him, speaking lowly, "What is it?"
Claire Green looked sideways to see Mason giving her a playful smile, feeling uneasy.
Then Mason pulled a fast one, "Claire Green mentioned this afternoon that you're too old."
Upon hearing this, the man slowly turned his gaze to the girl, his deep magnetic voice, laughing gently.
"Too old?"
Claire Green lazily tilted her head, red lips curving, "If I say no, would you believe it?"
