Looking at the dejected Xia Liang, Tong Dongnuan recalled their old pact: if he still didn't have a girlfriend when they grew up, she would help him snag one.
Turns out the punk really hasn't changed at all. So he was waiting here for me all along.
At that thought, a suggestive smile touched Tong Dongnuan's lips.

"I'm just kidding," he said, downing a bottle of beer.
"Oh," Tong Dongnuan replied softly. For some reason, she felt a pang of disappointment.

Tong Dongnuan was puzzled. Shaking her head, she decided to forget about it. She raised her beer bottle.
"Come on, bottoms up!"
Xia Liang didn't hesitate, and they both finished another bottle. They stopped asking questions and instead started reminiscing about all the funny things that had happened over the years.
