Chapter 100 - The meeting

The next day….

Jackson drove to Wraith's house and got out of his car. He fixed his hair and slowly walked towards the door. He gave the white door two gentle knocks before Wraith opened the door. "Hi." Jackson said with a smile. "H-hi." Wraith replied. Wraith put both her hands over her mouth, covering her smile as her mother stepped into view. (He's so cute…) Wraith thought. "Oh, hello. You must be…"

"Jackson. Jackson Price. I didn't know Wraith had a sister?" Jackson said as he tilted his head a little to the side. "Oh, stop." Her mother laughed. "Huh?" Jackson said. "I'm…I'm Wraith's mother." Jackson was shocked by how young Wraith's mother looked. "Wow, Mrs. Lawless…i honestly couldn't tell." Jackson said as he nervously rubbed his hand through the back of his head. "Ahaha, it's okay sweetie. You two have fun…and be safe." Mrs. Lawless said.

Jackson and Wraith were in the car and headed to Lily's house. "Wraith Lawless. That's one badass last name." Jackson complimented. "You think so?" Wraith asked, writing in her notebook while Jackson was driving. "I mean, yeah. You don't think so?"

"Heh…lawless seems very…"

"How it sounds. Wild. But, a last name is important in this life. That name is linked to heritage, family clues, family history, and even being able to trace ancestors. You should be proud of a badass name like that!" Jackson said with a small laugh. Wraith looked at Jackson and smirked at him. "You…really are something, Jackson. I never gave last names that much of a thought. Thank you." Jackson peeped over to see an open field on the right side. "Hmm…have you been practicing your jinn slaying skills lately?" Jackson asked Wraith. Wraith closed her notebook and squinted at Jackson. "Don't try it." She sighed. "No, no, no, I'm just curious if you've been training or not is all." Jackson said with the wiggle of his finger. "Pull over then." Wraith said as she removed her earrings. "Huh? Why are you removing-it was only a joke, Wraith. I don't wanna hurt you." Jackson said sarcastically. "Hmph."

Jackson stood about 50 yards away from Wraith. He stretched his arms and legs. Wraith on the opposite side only jumped in place, shifting from one leg to the other each jump. "Weapons or no?" Wraith asked. "I think it's fair…or the first one to land a blow win." Jackson replied as he put on a serious face. (So cute). Wraith thought. The two took their stances…waiting for the other to even twitch. Jackson quickly made his first move, reaching into the ground. "Demon sword attack: demon slash!" A thick red line hurled out at Wraith. Wraith smirked and ran directly towards it. She slid across the grass on both her knees to avoid the line, popping up and holding out her hand to jump into a portal she had created. (Her void ability! Wraith will can now come from anywhere. That's not even mentioning her void sword!) Jackson spun around, trying to anticipate where Wraith was gonna attack next. (Channel your energy….really focus on the tingling feeling…) Jackson tossed his sword in the air, as Wraith jumped through a portal and talked Jackson into the soft green grass. Wraith pinned both of his arms down with her hands and just smiled at him. "I'd watch my head if I were you." Jackson said. "No problem." Wraith replied, as he black sword shot through a portal and hit Jackson's red one away. "Smart move…that would work against someone who doesn't think like their opponent." Wraith complimented. She locked eyes with Jackson and she completely froze. Jackson gave Wraith a confused look in his eyes. "Are you…okay?" He asked. "Of course I'm okay. It's just…it's-"

Jackson slowly moved his arm and placed his hand gently on the left side of Wraith's face. Wraith started turning red, as Jackson began to smile. "You're eyes…really do shine brighter in the warm sun." Jackson said with a grin. (This feeling…and that smile…how could I possibly forget?) Wraith thought. "Jackson, I-"

Both of their phones began to ring. Jackson digged into his pocket and noticed the name of the caller. "Hercules….great." Jackson sighed. "And…here's Amber." Wraith added. "GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE!!!! BIG MEETING, PRICE!!!" Hercules yelled through the phone. Jackson and Wraith held in their laughter. "O-oh? Is that laughing I hear?! What the hell is so damn funny?! You think you can just…"

Jackson tossed his phone to the side and slammed his head back. Wraith climbed off of him and rolled on her back next to him. "You think it's a big mission?" Wraith asked. "Nope. Hercules wouldn't be acting like that. He's be composed and calm. I'm sure it's just the meeting." Jackson said. "I hope so. The last big mission we had…it was…truly something."

Wraith replied. "Yeah, you're telling me. We lost…a good amount of people. Believe it or not…I was worried for you, Wraith." Jackson admitted. Wraith's eyes widened slightly. "You were worried…for me?" She asked. "Absolutely. I know we didn't talk much but…you were the first girl in a while…to even talk to me about the simple things. I haven't had that since-" Jackson stopped and began grinding his teeth. "It's okay…I've heard the stories. You…really did have to kill your girlfriend, didn't you?" Wraith asked. Jackson sat up and put his hand over his head. "No choice. She…was a traitor. Then not long after, her brother Charlie…he got sick and passed away. It's fine though, I've completely moved on and blurred it out." Jackson explained. Wraith squinted her eyes, doubting what Jackson was saying. "You know…it's okay to care about the past, right?"

"Huh?"

"Don't ever…and I mean ever try to hide from how you truly feel. I'd feel awful about having to kill my significant other. I'm sorry you had to go through that, Jackson."

"It's alright. Part of life I guess. Everyone…and every living being on this giant rock we call earth goes through something similar. jusy because you have ome bad day, it does'nt define your life. I have to just keep moving forward, no matter how painful it is. Everything in this world should live by that. Live for the ones who died. And find new companions and friends who'll help you in those dark times. I'm actually…grateful in a way for everything that's happened. I'm just glad to be here!" Jackson smiled. Jackson could see his reflection inside of Wraith's eyes. Wraith smiled at him as the gentle wind blew. "You really are something, Jackson Price."

The jinn slayer meeting was held in an abandoned museum…hidden from the outside world with the work of an barrier placed by the jinn slayers. When you walked into the museum, there were two tall man, surrounded by very strong energy. After checking in with them, there was a very large round table. It was very clean and brown. It stood out a lot, due to the museum being covered in mold and dirt. Above the table was a circular balcony that wrapped around the entire floor and the overhead. There were a total of 8 seats. Each were teachers of pups. Amber, Hercules, Astor, and Rock were amongst the seats above. On the far end, was a muscular man, much bigger than Hercules. He was a black man with an intimidating presence. He had smooth glowing skin that shined even in the dark, long locs that dropped to his shoulders, lowered eyes, as if he were tired, a large build with muscles, and he wore a gray jumpsuit with timberlands. His name was Obilisk.

Near Obilisk, was a very frail, tiny woman. She was 4'9 in height, wore a black dress, with black high-heels, she was a Venezuelan woman she was extremely beautiful with, extremely long hair, and had brown eyes. Her name was Carolina.

Beside her was her best friend, Eleanor. Eleanor was an American woman. She stood at 5'4, was a brunette with hair cut above her shoulders, two scars on her forehead, green eyes, and she wore a long sleeve black shirt with military cargo green pants with black boots.

The seat on the opposite side of Eleanor was empty.

"It didn't show up again, huh?" Carolina asked Eleanor. "Seems like it. What a shame…everyone keeps hyping it up." Eleanor sighed. "Oh? Would you look at him!" Eleanor gasped as Jodi walked in with Lily into the museum. "The white lightning. He seems…a lot smaller than I thought. From all the stories I've heard, he's 7 feet tall, scary, and is a cold-blooded killer. Doesn't seem all that bad." Eleanor sighed. "You judge a book by its cover too fast, Eleanor. I can tell by just looking at him…he's a problem. Even for someone of my level." Carolina said. "Really? Hmm…I just don't see what you do, I guess." Eleanor added. "Now THAT'S a kid with potential. The demon sword owner…Jackson Price." Eleanor said with fascination in her voice. "That sword…it connects our world to hell itself! Who knows what could happen if it were ever to fall into the wrong hands!" Eleanor said while looking at Carolina. The two just looked at each other before bursting into laughter.

Obilisk scouted out all of the pups below. He sat with his arms crossed and scolded Lily from above. (That girl…)

Jodi waved over Jackson and Wraith. "Found you guys!" Jodi laughed. Lily pushed past Jodi and scolded Jackson. "Are you the reason Hercules was all pissy with us?!"

"Please, lower your voice for once, Lily." Jackson sighed. Jackson ignored her and pulled a chair out of Wraith. "Hmph. I'll have you know…I'm actually very quiet most of the time." Lily whispered while sitting right next to Jackson. "Yeah? It's hard to imagine that, considering you complain and yell all day huh, Lily?"

"You little smart ass-"

"Hey there…Wraith." A tall boy said. He pulled up a chair and sat next to her. Lily, Jodi, and Jackson all stared at the boy. "Umm…I was talking." Lily said with a glare. "Oh, I apologize if I was too loud. Didn't mean anything from it!" The boy said as he scratched his head. "Right…anyway…" Lily continued. Jackson and Jodi listened to her while the boy and Wraith started to talk. "So…how have you been?"

"Good."

"How's your mother?"

"Good."

"What's with the dry tone? Hmm? We used to be so very close…Wraith."

Wraith glared at him for only a moment then closed her eyes. "Leave me alone….Xavier."

Xavier's smile left his face. "That so? I don't recall you hating me back then…why the sudden change?"

"I want nothing to do with you. Now would you please-"

Xavier slammed his hand hard on the table, making everyone around turn their attention towards him and Wraith. Wraith jumped from the loud sound. Xavier quickly put on a fake smile and leaned in closer towards Wraith. "You're acting like…you don't miss me." Xavier said as he began to rub his hand on Wraith's thigh

Xavier could feel a powerful gaze. He looked over to see Jackson and his eyes now glowing red. "Remove your hand or I'll remove it for you." Jackson said, his voice slightly deeper than before. Xavier closed his eyes and began smirking. He removed his hand and put on a smile. "Only joking here!" Xavier laughed. (Who the hell does this guy think he is?!)

Jackson stood up and raised his energy. Jodi also stood up and did the same. "You're not smart are you?" Lily asked.

(No, you three are the ones who aren't smart! If the others weren't here, I'd kill the three of you right now and simply take Wraith-)

"My apologies, friends." Xavier said with a smile. He glanced one last time at Wraith and walked away, sitting at the opposite side of the table. Everyone around relaxed and sat back down. Jackson continued to stare down Xavier. "Relax yourself, Jackson. The creep isn't even worth it." Jodi reassured. Jackson sat back down and fixed his shirt. (Remember that purple headed bastard!)

"Control your pups, Eleanor." Obilisk said with his deep voice. Obilisk leaned out of his chair with one arm hanging. "Don't let something like that…happen again in front of me." He warned. Eleanor winked at Obilisk and blew him a kiss. "I'd love for you to fight me…anytime, Obilisk."

"What a nut job." Obilisk sighed.

*****

Hercules was leading Jackson, Lily, and Jodi.

Astor, who didn't attend the meeting, was leading Duce and a slayer named Tobias.

Amber was leading a slayer that went by the name James and Wraith.

Obilisk attended the meeting, but didn't allow his pups to attend for some odd reason.

Eleanor was in charge of Xavier, Pathion, and Torogram.

Carolina was in charge of a trio of slayers who also did not attend the meeting.

Rock was sitting on the roof of the museum, keeping watch of any unwanted spirits. "Everyone, may I have your attention?" Carolina began. "This is the third meeting amongst the jinn slayers. Please be quiet and listen to what your superiors have to say." Carolina announced as she sat back down. Amber stood up and raised one hand into the air. "Put your hand into the air if you've heard about the case involving the kid named Joey Castle?"

Immediately almost everyone raised their hands. "I see. As you all know, we've been searching for a while…looking for him and his sister, Ahana. We've ran into these two only twice since we've been ordered to bring them in. As of now…we've been ordered to not try and look for them…or even engage them." Amber announced. All of the pups below began to quietly talk amongst each other. Everyone besides Lily.

"The clans will take over from here. We will wait unless the angels give orders, but they've been quiet for now. We have no choice but to-"

"Haven't we been the ones to find them?? The clans have done nothing!" Pathion yelled up. "I'm aware of this, Pathion. I do agree with you, but the clans have a higher position in power, so we can only obey."

"That's some bull, Ms. Amber," Xavier began. "We jinn slayers have worked extremely hard and even went on countless nights of sleep just to look and even patrol our areas! They just sideline us out of nowhere?!" Xavier asked.

"One day…I think I'm going to punch him…really hard." Lily said.

"At least I'm not the only one who sees his fake act. It's nasty." Jodi added. "He seems relieved to hear the news deep down inside."

"Did they even tell you what they'd be doing, Ms. Amber?" Xavier asked while looking up at her. "No, they did not."

"So you just went along with it? Didn't even try to fight for what we've worked tirelessly for?!"

"Watch your tone, Xavier." Eleanor warned as she leaned out of her chair. Xavier sat back down and looked at the table. (These cowards. Every last one of them. Our leaders need…a change. Weak can't lead the jinn slayers to victory over the enemy…only the strong and brave can do such a thing. Screw the clans! We're stronger!)

Xavier stood back up in protest. "Forgive me, Ms. Eleanor, but I simply can't ignore the fact that you guys just let the clans push us-"

"What the hell did she just say?" Obilisk asked as he towered over Xavier. Xavier could see the massive man's shadow standing behind him with his dark aura. (When did he move? Obilisk sure is a fast one…)

Xavier turned around to face Obilisk. "What is it you're trying to do here? Cause some sort of fight against the clans? Is that what you would do?" Obilisk asked.

"I just don't think the weak should be leading us is all. Sure you all could kick my ass in a fight, but you all lack the qualities of a true leader. Someone who's not a coward and not afraid to take what they want." Xavier said with a smirk.

"I think we're just being smart on how to handle the situation. If they want to go after Joey and Ahana, then go for it. As long as they leave our comrades alone. Because at the end of the day, we all are jinn slayers…a family. NOT…soldiers. Now sit your ass down."

(Scary stuff.) Tobias thought.

"I still don't know what that was with Wraith and the Xavier guy." Lily said as she tossed her ball against the roof and caught it. "Not sure. I thought I noticed him touching her though…a little annoying fellow there." Jodi added, sitting at the desk while looking out of the window. "I assume those two have a history?" Jodi asked. Lily thought about it. "Most likely, but still…I'm really gonna give him a good punch one day." Lily swore. Jodi leaned back in the chair as his eyes widened. "Oh, that's right….I remember him now!! That's Xavier Mighty, the kid who was banished from the mighty clan itself!" Jodi claimed. "Oh, I think I remember Amber babbling about him-along with other rumors. What was he kicked out for again?"

"No one knows the true story but, I'm positive it was something to do with the murder of his mother, who was a relative of the leader of the mighty clan." Jodi explained.

Lily sat up from her bed and pulled out a piece of candy from her pocket. "Yeah, I'll punch him good one day!"

1 week later….

Ahana walked down the halls of the school, with her long brown hair covering most of her face, but her beauty still stood out. Multiple boys turned their heads to look at her while she walked down the hall. (People…truly do annoy me). Ahana was thought to herself. Before she took a left, she noticed a group of boys and girls all spamming the number "6-7" in front of their phones. (What the hell?)

Ahana walked into her classroom and took her seat. "Woah, she's hot." She heard a guy say. Ahana put her book bag behind her chair and propped her feet up onto the desk. "We don't do that here, ms. Please remove your feet." An old man said.

Ahana looked around confused. Ahana leaned over and asked the girl sitting next to her, "hey, who's the old fart?" Ahana asked. "The teacher." The girl said as she texted on her phone. Ahana looked over at the man and put her feet down. "You're the new student, yes?" He asked Ahana. Ahana looked around again and pointed at herself. "Yes, you." The teacher laughed. "What is your name?" The teacher asked while pulling out a piece of paper. "My name is Isabella…Isabella Pineworth."

"Nice to meet you, Isabella. As you'll notice…students here don't really care what I have to say." The teacher said. Ahana looked around to see everyone in their phones or gossiping about stuff that wasn't important to her. Only one kid stood out to her, and he was in the way back of the class, reading a book with his desk in the corner.

(Intresting). Ahana thought.
