My ignorance had me back in the thick of it, and the aftermath was more suffocating than Liam's presence.
I felt out of control; my body treating me like a rag-doll and my mind ripping me apart. One side demanding I run, the other begging for me to give in and forget about the consequences.

"Well, we have several options. I know it's late, but if you're willing to drive home, we can take care of the shots-"
"No time." Ivan cut in, his voice clipped.
"Alright… well, I can drive down to you…" she offered. "I'll be there by nine if I leave in the next hour."
