The two moved slowly through the uninhabited village until they reached a bush.
Blair frowned before looking at her partner and nodding.
The two had heard a sound coming from this spot, so they quickly called to their partners so they could make a perimeter around the bush, after all, there could be anything underneath this place.
Ben quickly moved the bush, revealing a small ladder inside a hole, which only a child of 8 years old or younger could fit through.
Ben and Blair looked at each other before contacting the escort group.
A few seconds later, a thinly built man appeared and looked into the hole with mild curiosity.
"Do you think you can use your ability to get in?" - Ben asked as he looked at the newcomer.
"Hmm, not difficult, though I will need to prepare the weaponry first, after all, when I reduce my size, I also reduce my base abilities" - replied Kyo as he shook his head - "Give me five minutes to get everything ready."

The Haulia clan soldier fell silent, when he heard the children's voices more clearly.

[Relax, everything will be fine, we'll be out soon and things will be back to normal].
Kyo frowned slightly, because it seemed like there was an adult in the group, or at least that's what he thought when he heard such a raspy voice with the children.
"Is there a person who has a similar ability to me?" - Kyo muttered as he debated whether to make contact with this group or continue eavesdropping, though he quickly came to the conclusion that he was better off continuing to listen to the children talk, that way he would at least ensure that this place was attacked by the traitorous hero.

Kyo was silent because he felt sick, he could tell the desperation in the older man's voice.

The children started asking about possibly their other friends, which made Kyo feel even worse, because it was pretty obvious that they had been part of Amanogawa Kouki's victims, and even though they were possibly demons, it didn't mean he felt good about the idea of a group of children losing their whole world, after all, despite the race, they were still innocent.
The children began to cry for their friends and parents, while the adult seemed to be doing his best to calm them down.
Kyo let out a sigh, but it seemed that this had not gone as unnoticed as he had thought.

The children began screaming and running back and forth, while the adult in the group seemed to be doing his best to calm the children down.
Kyo again began to debate his options, though after a few seconds, he decided to appear in front of the group so that he could talk to them - after all, he had already revealed his presence.
