Fortun Collin, Annie Jaba, and Louisa Hayden exchanged confused glances.
Watching Ned Mamet disappear into the woods, Louisa said, "He usually looks so scatterbrained, who'd have thought he could stage such a clever 'invite the snake into the jar' plot? Kudos to him."
"Are you interested in him?" Annie Jaba asked, pretending to be serious.
"Hey, what are you talking about? Who'd be interested in him? I'm just stating facts. If it weren't for this move, inviting the snake into the jar, what if we scared the snake, and what if Diana Baxter had been lurking around us all along, ugh…" As she spoke, Louisa shook herself, adding, "Just thinking about it is terrifying."
"Hey, do you really think Diana Baxter is Leighton Brown's daughter?" Sanjay Gupta asked.
"I think they don't look alike at all," Louisa said.
"Maybe she looks like her mother," Annie Jaba suggested.
"She doesn't look like Mrs. Baxter."
