Grumbling I once again cursed my luck to the high heavens as out of everything, and everyone, I could've possibly encountered on my first mission for SHIELD it just had to be the Mad Russian who enjoys tentacle play, and is so tough even Wolverine has issues taking the bastard down most of the time.

Omega Red.

Well, not like there's anything I can do about it.

So I'll just proceed with Arkady's ass beating.

Looking at the mutant cyborg I shot a web bomb at his face that made contact and covered it with webbing.

"Mhm!" Arkady grumbled in anger. Stumbling back as he reached up to remove my webbing from his face.

As he did I ran forward, making sure his tentacles didn't touch me in the slightest, lest I end up having my life force drained, and then did a double kick with both my feet into his chest.

Ignoring the pain I felt when I did. For it feels like I just kicked a a solid block of steel.

Though my attack did I needed it to do.

It sent Arkady falling backwards into the hole he created on the deck to reach us in the first place.

Once he was down there I immediately ran back towards Quartermain and the other SHIELD agents, all of whom except Quartermain had fearful expressions on their faces.

But when faced with someone like Omega Red I can't blame them.

"Hey, pull yourselves together!" I shouted.

Even so this is no time for them to freeze up.

My words working the agents snapped out of their momentary stupors.

Once they did I looked at Quartermain. "I say we make a strategic retreat and call in some big reinforcements. And before you give me the bullshit speel about the "mission coming first" remember that mister Red October is likely the reason the agents you sent to this ship, and thus vessels crew, have disappeared. Likely dead. So don't let stubborness win out here agent Quartermain. If you want to save the lives of the agents under your command, make the right call." I spoke.

Quartermain then only looked at me for a few more seconds before turning to his fellow SHIELD agents.

"We're retreating." Quartermain ordered. "Everyone retreat to the Quinjet."

Hearing this the agents breathed a sigh of relief, and so did I, until my Spider-sense went off again.

"Move!" I should.

Jumping out of the way, with the SHIELD agents following me.

But they weren't fast enough to evade as Omega Red's tentacles ripped through the top of the deck again.

Leading to two of the agents to begin to fall through the newly made hole.

Seeing this I rushed forward and webbed them both, and then pulled, tossing them behind me.

As I did I noticed both of Omega Red's tentacles coming towards me.

So in response I backflipped and got out of there range.

Just as Red jumped up and landed stop the deck of the Shum once more.

"Quartermain get your agents to the jet!" I yelled at him.

Wishing oh so bad at the moment I had worn the Mark I armor suit on this mission, or at least had better equipment.

Since I don't have anything with me at the moment that is truly a match for Arkady.

Meaning as soon as I get back it's time to lock in, since I hate being caught off guard like this.

"You heard Spider-Man agents. To the Quinjet, on the double!" Quartermain shouted.

When he did he and his agents began running towards the Quinjet, laying down covering fire as they retreated.

Even though their bullets did nothing to Arkady, the bastard only smirking as the shots hit and rebounded off his body.

"That tickles." He mused.

Preparing to send his tentacles to attack the SHIELD agents.

Though before he could I webbed both of them and then pulled, leading Arkady to stumble forward slightly.

"Wow, seems you're really having trouble staying on your feet today Mister Red Terror. Maybe you should head back to the Motherland and have some of your nations ballerina's teach you some moves. I hear they're great on their feet."

"Don't speak of the Motherland you insect!" Arkady shouted at me.

"Hey now, that's just rude. Spider's aren't insects, they're arach-" I began to explain, only to stop when Omega Red used his tentacles to toss me through the air and then slam me into the deck of the ship.

"Yep, definitely going to feel that tomorrow." I groaned out.

Rolling out of the way as Omega Red attempted to grab me with his tentacles.

"Hey now, I don't mean to link shame but I'm not into tentacle play." I said, springing up to my feet. "At least with a big and burly guy like you." I added. Firing off web bombs at Arkady.

Who slapped them out of way using his tentacles.

"Ah, do you ever shut up?!" He cried.

"Nope." I replied. Firing a web line at Arkady's legs and then pulling, leading him to stumble again.

But this time as it happened Arkady used one of his tentacles as a whip an began swinging it towards me from the left side.

Seeing this I jumped, and turned through the air over it.

Landing and then immediately jumping forward after I did, since Arkady was already swinging his other tentacle down at me.

Due to this I narrowly dodged his attack, which made a huge dent on the deck of the ship.

Seeing this I let out a low whistle.

While Omega Reed turned to me.

'Need to end this and fast.' I thought.

Not liking the idea of what would happen if Omega Red sunk this ship with the Plutonium on board it.

But as I am currently putting him down permanently also isn't a viable option.

So what to do, what to do?

Thinking of a solution I suddenly got one.

Hoping it would work.

So with my idea in mind I began running towards Omega Red, dodging his tentacle strikes as I did.

Until I was within range of the man.

But instead of engaging him in a fight I flipped over him and landed behind him.

"What?!" Arkady shouted.

But I paid him no mind as I crossed my arms, placed them under me, and then fired two web lines at Omega Red.

Once I did I turned around and then with all my strength moved to toss Omega Red, succeeding in my task.

As he flew threw the air I watched as he crashed into the ocean.

"That should keep him busy for a little while." I muttered, springing back to my feet.

Once I did I then ran over to the Quinjet and boarded it.

"Alright, go, go, go!" I shouted.

The pilot taking off when I did.

Thus the SHIELD agents and I left the Shum behind us.

Having not accomplished our mission in the slightest.

But at least all of us were alive.

And in my book that makes this mission a complete success.
