It was an evening of dec 16 1991 . there were festive vibes every were as Christmas was near, the streets were full of hustle and bustle as husbands went home to their wives children ran around and we could see some house wives hurrying over to there home to prepare dinner .
All this was broken by a man in his early 30s running through the streets from his shop if you look closer ypu can tell that the man was anxious and his name was Alex walker .
Alex was as usual working in his shop in queens when he got a call from the hospital his wife was admitted informing him that she just went into labour.
I didn't know what to do as I was happy worried anxious and all over a mess I just threw all the work to my employee ben and ran to the hospital to be there when my baby came to this world.
I ran all the way to the hospital and came near the maternity ward as I arrived I was asked to go into the ward. As I got closer I could hear my wife Mary cursing at me,Seeing me just made it a whole lot worse as you can see " damn you alex lets have a baby you said, you son of a bitch I am going to smash your head when this is all over and don't even think about sleeping in the same bed from now on ,you said it will be nice having a baby ...fuck you…"she cursed at me I could only give wry smile as the doctors and nurses just gave me an understanding smile.
The doctors continued to ask her to push and my hands were being nearly squeezed to a pulp with super human levels of strength I never knew my wife had .
"ahhhhh..."my wife continued to scream and curse at me for causing her all the pain. I couldn't say anything as I knew it was just her coping with all the pain she is experiencing I could only comfort her by saying it will be over soon.
After nearly 7 hours I was finally able to see my baby he was crying like there was no tomorrow and it got me worried but when he was in his mothers arm he stopped crying sfter she fed him he directly went to dream land ,there was small smile on my face when I saw them together. this was my new world and I knew that I have to protect those sweet smile on their face.
