"Yue'er, let's go!"
Li Qingmu gently stroked the back of the woman in his arms, noticing her body trembling. He realized she was saddened for his sake, and that warmth in his heart made him feel that all the suffering he previously endured was worth it.
Long Yue nodded softly, "Alright."
She glanced in the direction where the carriage had sped away, pouting in frustration, "The carriage is gone..."
"It's only half an hour's carriage ride to Puyang City from here. We can walk there in a little over an hour. Let's go and make it by nightfall."
"Okay."
"Ah, ah, ah—"
The driver's voice cried out nearby repeatedly, trying to catch Li Qingmu and Long Yue's attention.
"Could you please save me...?"
Long Yue turned around, exchanged a glance with Li Qingmu, and walked over.
"Dear lady, please save me! My leg is broken!"
"It's nothing serious, just dislocated."
Long Yue squatted down to inspect it, and with a snap, put his leg back in place.
