The following day, Aske awoke in the manor on Fire Island.
Arriving in the first-floor hall, Nora had already prepared breakfast for everyone: milk, fried eggs, salad, and slices of bread with fried meat cutlets.
"How were the skewers yesterday?" Nora asked Aske at the table, "I used three different seasonings to marinate them. Which one did you prefer?"
"The saltier one," Aske answered.
The saltier one?
Before Nora could figure out which one that was, Aske had already teleported away from Fire Island.
Peggy was in charge of guarding the Ancient Book last night, and he appeared in a room at the inn, patting Peggy on the shoulder.
"I'll take over now. You can go back and have breakfast," he said.
"Mhm," Peggy nodded and then asked, "Aske, are you still going to comprehend a new Law today?"
"Yeah," Aske replied with a smile, "After I do, I'll be promoted to Lv.19, just like you."
