Chapter 140 - Secret Date

Away from the group of Celesta and the new professor, Nihara was walking leisurely as she approached her first Lecture location.
Those around her had stopped looking at her strangely, and they instead began to stay a wide distance from her.
She was initially troubled by that, but soon learned to adapt to her new environment. But that too had changed as of late.
"Miss Nihara, please sip my apple juice!"
"No, she would like my orange juice more!"
"Stop it, you two. Don't you see how you have been troubling Miss Nihara? Well, she would like my mango juice for certain, though."
Glancing at the bickering trio around her, Nihara began to wonder when they became so close to her.
Initially, she could understand their pain and difficulties as they went on their road to recovery. After she lent a helping hand to the girls, most of them thanked her and went back to their lives, only greeting her often from a distance.
However, these three had chosen to keep her accompanied and more often than not made sure that she wouldn't suffer from loneliness.
Nihara truly appreciated their selfless effort, but her heart still ached to meet her dear friend, Carene.
Due to a string of holidays in the past, along with the upcoming three-day holiday, the amount of time that she could spend with her dear friend had been drastically reduced.
Especially since the day that Carene met her Mom, things had become somewhat weird between them.
She couldn't understand the reason for that, but Carene seemed very busy with her own affairs, not even replying to her messages recently.
Although she laughed along with the three, the emptiness inside continued to torment her regularly.
"Don't act so clever, Jana! You often run away to spend time with Miss Nihara by yourself!"
"T-That's right! Do you know how jealous we had been..."
The girl in question, Jana, snorted proudly as she spoke in a haughty tone,
"So what? Miss Nihara favors me more. You two can keep on quarreling with each other."
Feeling another round of bickering coming up, Nihara smiled a little as she glanced towards the Admin, feeling. She didn't know why, but she somehow felt that her dear friend was somewhere around that place.
Not being able to trouble Carene with the loud company of the trio, she chose to walk towards the Lecture hall instead while sighing to herself in resignation.

With the announcement of another three days of holidays, I felt like groaning in complaint.
It was rare for me to start getting interested in studies, but the College became unavailable at such a moment.
Maybe I should borrow some books from the Library instead.
As I was wondering such things, Nihara walked into the Lecture Hall. After separating from her new group of friends, she smiled at me as she walked closer and spoke,
"Miss Carene, it's very nice to be able to see you today. Have you been well? I thought you had been busy since you couldn't reply to the messages..."
I was surprised by what Nihara spoke and quickly checked my phone.
"Uh, sorry about that, Nihara. I don't know how, but my phone isn't alerting me of notifications anymore. I have been okay. And, how about you? Have you been fine these days?"
"I have been well. It's just that... there have been many holidays as of late."
"Yeah, that is indeed troubling."
After chatting with Nihara for a while, an unknown lady dressed in a suit walked into the hall and stood at the podium as she looked at all of us in silence.
The students were staring at her as well, although for a very different reason.
"Oh, man! This lady is so hot!"
"Is she our new lecturer? She is so pretty..."
"Damn it. I got a boner already."
They were all totally riled up by her looks. Admittedly, she looked stylish and gorgeous. It's just that I had been intimate with so many great ladies that I felt almost nothing as I looked at her.
Don't get me wrong, I do understand why all the students went crazy for her. Maybe she just wasn't my type? Or maybe I did 'it' so much that I have entered sage mode now?
Whatever the case, I could only feel myself rolling my eyes over the guys drooling over her.
Let's just hope that she knows how to defend herself from these wolves.
Although they won't dare to act like before, the same cannot be said about a few of them with hidden desires.
Oh, well. I have Celesta as my girlfriend already. Why should I care about anyone else here in College, right?
Seeing the students become noisier, the lady professor slammed the books on the desk and began to speak coldly,
"Shut up already, you pigs. You think that I can't hear your squeals from here? Get real. If any of you dares to cross my way, I will show you who's the boss and who's the bitch around here."
"My name is Katherine, and I am not interested in being close to any of you pigs. I will teach, and you will learn. That would be the extent of our relationship, understood?"
A blanket of silence fell over the Lecture hall. Most of the students looked at the professor with eyes wide open in astonishment, while a few seemed to be gasping secretly in pleasure.
Having established her authority, the Professor went straight into teaching the lessons. Since I decided to honestly focus on my studies, I found the lecture somewhat easier to understand than before.
Maybe she won't be a bad teacher after all...

After getting done with most of the Lectures for the day, it was lunchtime for us already.
Celesta and mine lunch timings differed by an hour, so we hadn't been able to have lunch together yet. However, Celesta had told me to wait on the rooftop during lunchtime.
The access to the rooftop of the Admin building was obviously restricted for us, but I knew that Celesta must have her own way.
As I soon approached the Admin building, I had to avoid all eyes as I sneaked my way upstairs, all the way to the rooftop.
As the feelings of nervousness and expectations began to rise within me, I pushed the door to the rooftop open and walked through it as my eyes began to search for my girlfriend's figure.
"Carene~! You really came!"
As I turned towards the source of the voice, I found Celesta sitting on a mat as she smiled at me gently.
Seeing her kind smile made my heart skip a beat as I walked near her and replied,
"It was the precious chance to be with my... c-cute girlfriend. How could I possibly miss that?"
Aaaah... I couldn't act as smoothly as I wanted. But... getting that much conveyed is already a big step ahead when compared to our relationship in the past.
Pushing a big lunch box forward, Celesta spoke happily,
"I was too excited for today, so I made a bit too much."
Seeing her shy look made me want to turn into a beast immediately, but I held back my urges and sat down next to her as I replied,
"No, you already worked very hard for us early in the morning. I-I will do my best to finish it all with you today!"
"I am glad that you said that. Besides that, I only made this for my girlfriend and myself, so you have to say those words again."
Uh... she won't let go unless I say it again, right?
As expected, even if I said it before, it is still very embarrassing to say it to Celesta's face.
Oh, well, here goes nothing.
"I-I was going to say that earlier. But... I became too dazed seeing your cute looks. And... that, I love you..."
Oh, God! I feel like dying already!
How could saying such simple words make me embarrassed to death?!
"O-Oh... to think that you really said that..."
Celesta's face became deep red as she turned her eyes away in shyness.
W-What?! She was playing a prank..?
Damn it. She is still so cute doing that...
