They drove down the highway as Ken asked many questions about where they were going. John answered patiently as he drove. Eventually Ken had finished asking all of his questions and was starting to get bored. John handed him his game; Ken's eyes immediately turned into saucers as he stared at the magical, holy object in his hands.
Ken looked at John in worship for a second before he began to play. Jess and Enid watched him play to entertain themselves. Demmy who was sitting in the front seat, leaned on John's shoulder and closed her eyes. Occasionally she would take a deep breath, inhaling John's scent.
John continued forward for an hour before he stopped the car. Janet stopped behind them and John got out of the car. They were in the middle of the highway and Jess had to go to the bathroom. John looked around and saw the coast was clear, John walked over to the Honda.
Janet rolled down the window and said, "What's up?"
John said, "Jess has to use the bathroom. So, if any of you have to, I'd do it now." All of the kids raised their hands. By now Jess and the others had come over and all the girls went into the woods together.
John went into the woods as well, bringing along Ed and Ken who had to go pee as well. They all stood at different trees and started to pee. Ken looked over at John and said in horror, "What happened to you?"
John asked, "What?"
Ken said, "Your wiener is so big."
John said, "You shouldn't look at another man's wiener. But just so you know, it grows as you get older."
Ken said, "Oh, okay." Ken then looked away and finished peeing. John zipped his pants and walked back to the highway with the boys following him. On the way back, a walker came towards them. Both of the kids hid behind John.
John said, "No need to be so afraid. It's just one walker. Watch me closely." John walked forward, the boys following and watching. John grabbed the walker by the head and slammed the walker's head against a tree. This action completely squished the walker's head. Ken and Ed looked on with stars in their eyes.
They began to bounce around imitating John as they continued back to the cars. They reached the cars a couple minutes later. The girls weren't back yet so John picked up the kids and set them on the roof of the car. Then John leaned against the car as he waited.
A couple minutes later, the girls came walking over. John helped the boys back onto the ground before they all began to get in the cars. Not long after, they were speeding down the highway straight for the prison. It started to get dark after a while, but they continued forward and 4 hours later, they arrived at the Prison.
Everyone was in awe when they saw the tall steel walls. Enid, Jess, and Demmy were even more astonished because they never thought someone else would have such huge walls. They quickly recovered however as they had been living behind walls very similar.
Janet, Bianca and the kids were completely stunned as they looked at the wall. The kids were stunned because the wall looked huge to them. Janet and Bianca were stunned because they had never even considered that their destination would look like this.
John used his remote, he said, "Open." Everyone in his car were confused until they saw the big steel gate start to open outwards. They didn't think the gate had a remote, at Alexandria, someone had to open the gate for you.
John drove in and closed the gate after Janet had come in as well. John drove over to the large cluster of houses, Janet following behind closely. As they made their way to the houses, they could see people coming out of their houses. It was late at night, and the people could only see two pair of headlights coming towards them.
John drove to his house and parked right out front. John got out of the car and looked at the driveway. He saw his mustang sitting there looking beautiful. While John was admiring his car, Jess and all the others had gotten out of the car. John led them to the front door, then he knocked on the door quietly.
A couple minutes later, a beautiful blonde opened the door holding a sleeping baby girl. John stepped forward and kissed Amy passionately, he hadn't seen her for a long time. They kissed for a couple seconds before Ken said, "Eww, gross."
John backed away as he looked at Amy lovingly. John eyes were glowing in a slightly pink hue. John said, "Angel, did you miss me?"
Amy looked at him and said, "Yes, its been so long."
John sincerely said, "Sorry."
John looked down at Cassy, she had grown some since he had last seen her. Amy handed Cassy to John, Cassy as if remembering this embrace smiled in her sleep. Amy had John and all the others come inside quietly. John led Janet and Bianca to one of the guest rooms, while Amy led the kids to another and put them to sleep. It was easy as the kids were tired from the long trip.
John walked out of the guest room after he set up Janet and Bianca, then he sat down on the couch holding Cassy. Jess came over and sat down next to him, she looked like she wanted to hold Cassy. John handed Cassy over to her carefully, he didn't want to wake the mini angel.
Enid and Demmy also sat down beside Jess, Amy came out of the room a couple minutes later and sat down next to John. Amy looked at John sweetly, she touched his face and said, "What happened?"
John said, "A fight."
Amy said, "Oh really, must have been intense."
John said, "I got caught off guard."
Amy said, "Right, no other way you would get injured otherwise."
John nodded and changed the subject. John said, "This is Demmy, Jess, and Enid."
Amy said, "Oh, I have heard a lot about you from John."
Jess asked, "What have you heard?"
Amy said, "You are all very beautiful and kind."
Enid smiled at this compliment. Demmy said, "I'm glad to hear."
Amy nodded, Jess said, "Your daughter is so cute. I hope my baby is this cute."
Amy said, "Oh, you are expecting?"
Jess said, "Yeah, I took a test on the way here. I had a feeling I was for a while, but I wasn't sure."
Amy smiled and said, "Congratulations, Jess."
Jess said, "Thank you."
John said, "Did you meet Jade?"
Amy said, "Yeah, she is very nice. She has been watching Sarah and playing with her."
John said, "That's good. How is my little gremlin anyway?"
Amy smiled and said, "She has been very rambunctious. She will be very excited to see you tomorrow morning."
John smiled and said, "That's good, I hope she didn't miss me too much."
Amy nodded and said, "She was very down for a couple days, but she cheered up quickly."
John said, "That's good. She hasn't been away from me for so long before. Anyway, you guys talk for a while, I want to talk with Rick."
Amy said, "Okay, see you in a while." John stood up and kissed Amy on the forehead before he walked to the front door. John put on his shoes, then he walked through the front door. John walked to the house next door and knocked on the door.
Minutes later, Carl opened the door and saw John. Carl said, "John, you're back."
John smiled and said, "What's up Carl, reading comics?"
Carl nodded and said, "Yeah, couldn't sleep."
John said, "You know, they make pills for that. Anyway, I need to talk to your dad."
Carl said, "Alright. Hey, did you find any more games on your trip?"
John said, "Yeah, come by the house tomorrow and you can grab them." John then walked into the house and sat down on a chair, while Carl walked upstairs to get his dad. A couple minutes later a groggy Rick came shambling down the stairs.
John said, "You drunk or something? Double D." Rick groaned as he walked over to a chair and sat down opposite John.
Rick said, "What do you want John? It is 2:00 am."
John said, "I want to talk about what happened while I was away."
Rick sighed and said, "Okay."
John began to explain some more about some of the signs he had seen of another group. John explained some more about Alexandria and proposed they Join together and make an alliance.
Rick said, "Sounds like a good idea, but why do we need an alliance? We already have everything we could ever need."
John said, "I want to rid the world of walkers. That has been my goal for a while now. To achieve this goal, I need people. Also, when the world is back to normal, we will need people."
Rick said, "Okay, when do you want to go back to Alexandria."
John said, "Soon, I have a feeling the group that attacked Noah's community will attack Alexandria soon."
Rick said, "Okay, we found a small helicopter and brought it back. Do you know how to fly?"
John said, "Of course I do."
John stood up and said, "I'll leave you to your rest then. In a couple days we will fly to Alexandria." Rick nodded and then John walked out of the house and closed the door. John walked back to his house, he opened the front door quietly and entered. John took off his shoes, then he looked around and saw no one was here anymore.
John walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge. John grabbed an apple and started to eat it as he walked up the stairs quietly. John walked into a door next to his room, John walked over to the cribs and saw Joey, Cassy, and Charlie sleeping soundly. John looked at them for a couple minutes before he walked over to the small bed on the other side of the room.
John looked down at Sarah, she was hugging a small giraffe plush. John kneeled down and looked at her closely, John reached out and began to caress her head. John stayed there for 10 minutes before he stood up and walked out of the room. John walked into his room and saw all of the women sleeping except Amy.
Amy was sitting on a chair next to the bed, her eyes were drooping, and her head was kept falling abruptly before she woke up and lifted her head again. She was on the verge of passing out. John walked over to her and picked her up in a princess carry, Amy wrapped her arms around him. John walked over to the bed and laid down with her.
Amy's head was resting on John's chest and her eyes had closed. Her breathing was heavy, and she had a happy smile on her beautiful face. John said, "How did I ever get a woman as perfect as you." Then John closed his eyes as he hugged Amy close, soon falling asleep.
