They were on the road again for about 2 hours before they stopped to rest at a building. They also needed to find some gas as John had only looted enough gas for his car to get back to the prison. John had collected some gas from each of the vehicles they had moved to the cliff of the quarry.
John led the way as they walked toward a brick building, there were 2 rolling doors. They walked around the building and found a metal door. John tried the door, but it was locked. Using his crowbar John was able to break in. John kicked the door hard, causing it to slam against the wall. A loud bang echoed throughout the building, then some groaning was heard from inside.
John walked forward leisurely; a walker lunged at him from an open door. John stepped back while tripping it and let it fall to the floor. Then he stomped on its head and continued forward. Janet and Bianca had yet to get used to John's combat prowess. John's women had long gotten used to seeing him completely reck walkers.
John walked forward, the women following behind him at a short distance. Some walkers came towards them from the end of the hall, all the other doors of the hall were closed. John pulled his revolver and shot the walkers one by one, right in the head. The walker's heads knocked back from the force of the bullet piercing its way through their heads.
John continued forward until the middle of the hallway; two more hallways split the main hallway in half. John turned right and started walking down the branch hallway. Some walkers had started to walk out of the rooms of this branch because of the loud gunshots. John took them out with his crowbar as they were spread further apart.
They eventually reached the end of the hallway, then they turned around and went back to the meeting point of all the halls. John turned right once again and began walking down the hallway. They walked quicky and reached the end of the hallway, they didn't meet any walkers as John had apparently killed all of the walkers down this way.
They went back to the meeting point and turned right once again and made their way down the hallway. John smacked his crowbar against the doors as he passed by them making some noise. A lone walker came from the end of the hallway, so John said, "Jess, why don't you take this one."
Jess said, "Do I have to?"
John said, "No, but I would like you to. Remember, our secondary goal was to get you girls some experience."
Jess said, "Okay then." Jess walked forward slowly; she took a deep breath to calm her nerves. Then she got close to the walker and waited for it to try to grab her. Then she stepped to the side and the walker feel to the ground. She stepped on its back to keep it from moving before she stabbed at its head with her knife.
This was exactly what John had taught all the Alexandrians in his combat classes. Jess wasn't able to make many of them though as she was still recovering for half the time, he taught the class. Both Enid and Demmy had taken the class from the beginning, so they were more familiar with the methods John had taught.
The problem was they had all rarely used these techniques on actual walkers because they never went out. Enid had gone out some, but she was still too nervous to confront a walker without having a safety net.
Anyway, with that walker dead, the hallways were now clear of any walkers. John led them back to the meeting area and turned left and then went into the first door on the left. There was a glass window there and you could see the inside of a breakroom. Some food and drink vending machine were in the room, along with two couches and a table and chairs in the middle of the rooms.
John said, "Alright, you guys can stay here and loot the vending machines while I clear all the rooms and look around. From the rooms we've seen. I think this is some auto repair school."
Demmy said, "Okay. We'll stay here then." Jess nodded.
Enid said, "I'll come with you, John." John nodded and walked out of the room with Enid following behind him. John made his way down the hallway, clearing all of the rooms. If there was more than one walker in the room, John would take care of it. But if there was only one walker, John would let Enid take care of it. This allowed Enid to gain some more combat experience.
When they finished that hallway, they went to the other hallways and did the same thing. Clearing all the rooms in the building, John split up with Enid. Enid went back to the break room, while John walked into one of the rooms. There were many lifts inside the rooms and some cars were on the stands. John walked through the room and saw some Subaru's, a For and a Chevy. John walked out of the room and began to search through each of the shop rooms.
John was looking for some hybrid cars, such as a Toyota Prius or a Honda Insight as that would make it easier for them to get to the prison. Also, they would need less gas to get to the prison. John found a Toyota Prius in one of the rooms and started to look at the sheet of paper attached to the car.
The sheet said that the Prius needed an oil change and several brake pad replacements. John smiled seeing this, these problems were easy fixes, and they would have everything needed to fix the Prius here. John looked around the room and grabbed all of the tools he needed putting them in a toolbox. John set the toolbox near the Prius as he looked around the room for some synthetic oil needed to replace the oil that was in the car currently.
Before John started fixing the Prius, he left the room and continued to look around the rooms looking for another hybrid vehicle. In another room down the hall, John found a Honda Accord Hybrid. John smiled as he looked at the sheet, the repairs for this car was also simple. He could have both of these Hybrids fixed within 3 hours.
John grabbed all the tools he would need and the necessary parts before he set them near the car. John then left the room and walked back to the break room. John walked in and saw the women sitting around and chatting. Jess was braiding Enid's hair and Demmy was helping. Meanwhile, Binca and Janet were sitting on a couch and resting, they were still exhausted by their grand escape from their previous captors.
John walked over to his women and said quietly, but not secretively, "I'm going to repair some Hybrid vehicles I found in the rooms. It will only take 3 hours, maybe 4."
Demmy said, "Why do you want to take those cars?"
John said happily, "If we fix these cars, we will be able to get to the prison with the gas we already have."
Demmy said, "Oh that's good. We won't have to scavenge gas from abandoned cars." Jess and Enid were also happy with this development.
Jess said, "What are you waiting for then? Get moving." John smiled as Jess tried to be bossy, but it was actually very cute. John kissed her cheek before he walked out of the room, with vigor. John jogged down the hall to the room with the Prius and began to change the oil first. John lifted the car using the hydraulic lift, then he got under the car.
John unclipped the plastic panel covering the area where the oil drain and oil filter was. John used a 14 mm socket wrench to undo the drain plug slowly, John had a bucket underneath to catch all the oil coming out. When the oil stopped coming out, John put the drain plug back in and tightened it back on with the socket wrench.
John the used a special coupler to remove the oil filter some oil came out, but it was only a little bit. John caught all the oil in the bucket, then he put the new filter in by had a couple threads before he used the coupler to tighten it on. John moved the bucket of used oil away then he put the plastic panel back on, locking it in place with the clips.
John moved out from under the Prius and stood up before he opened the hood. John then unscrewed the oil cap and poured in 4 quarts of synthetic oil. John then screwed the oil cap back on and closed the hood. With that the oil change was done.
John then went ahead and took all the wheels off, unscrewing the lug nuts with a large lug wrench. John then proceeded to take off the caliper of the first tire. Then he took out the old brake pads and put in the new pads. John put the caliper back on, then he put the tire back on. John did the same for the rest of the brakes, then he got in the car and pumped the brake pedal multiple times. With that the Prius was completely repaired.
John then left the room and went to the room then Honda Accord was in. John then began to fix this vehicle as well. Changing the brake pads, changing the sparkplug, changing the oil and the oil filter, and changing the old tires for new tires. With this car done as well, John opened the rolling door in the back of the shop and drove the car out of the room. John drove to the front of the building and parked the Accord next to their other cars.
John then jogged back into the building and did the same thing with the Prius. John parked it next to the Accord. John began to transfer all their stuff from the cars to the Prius and Accord. This was no problem, and they actually had more room to move around. John then went back into the building and walked to the break room.
Bianca and Janet were now awake, and they were setting up some food on the table. John walked over to his women and saw Enid's finished hair. When John walked over the women looked at him, his clothes and hands were dirty with oil and other mechanical fluids. Seeing John like this turned them on. Demmy walked over and kissed him but stopped when she remembered Bianca and Janet were in the room.
John said, "Both the cars are fixed, and we can leave anytime. I think we should stay for the night though. I want to make a few more stops before we get to the prison."
All the women were fine with it. Jess said, "Okay."
Demmy said, "That's fine."
Bianca said, "Good, I'm tired."
Janet said, "A nice break."
Enid nodded. John then said, "Okay then, I'm going to clean up in the bathroom. The women nodded, then John walked out of the room. John walked to the bathroom and went inside. John turned on the faucet and some cold water came pouring out. John spent about 20 minutes cleaning up. John threw away his jean jacket and shirt before he walked out of the room.
John walked back to the break room and went inside. John walked over to his pack; all the women were staring at John's Godlike body. John grabbed a white shirt from his pack and wore it all the women groaned a little, but when John turned around, they were all doing something, not paying him any mind. John sat down at the table and soon the women joined him, and they began to eat.
